Ridiculous hotel and extremely unprofessional. Currently trapped out of my room with my extremely sick infant because from desk employee sajil was so rude and I cant even get back in my room. Stuck here because of air canada, was willing to pay for my room and get reimbursed but he was not having it. All of my luggage and belongings still in room and he just asked us to leave. My daughter's medications, epi pens everything. This will be going to court as if it wasnt hard enough rude staff, a sick infant and cant even get her medication. This is 100% illegal not that they care.
Just to update as the day manager is trying to cover for his staff i have photos, videos and names of guests willing to speak on my behalf as I had informed him I needed to gain access to my room immediately, he said air canada only covered 1 night and it was too late to get another booking from them. I informed him I would pay cost myself and get reimbursed at a later as my daughter was in a full diaper and very ill. He then proceeded to not even acknowledge my request and asked to serve next customer. Once I looked it up to realize what he had done was against regulation I asked for manager, the manager then asked him to come offer and almost immediately he started yelling at me in front of more guests which is an obvious admission of guilt and knowing he did something very wrong. The physical and emotional distress caused to my infant not sure if by language barrier or just plain rudeness or just being Unprofessional is a cause for great concern how a manager would allow this and do nothing to rectify the situation or apologize to me in person, perhaps just trying to protect a friend at the cost of my child's health and wellbeing. I really hope nobody experiences anything like this ever again, not just for my child by my embarrassment as well as a full time single father not being able to do anything for my daughter because of the hotel staff. Do better.
Photos of my crying daughter trying to take off her dirty clothes in lobby and also of the malfunctioning television have been added to confirm they are being untruthful in their response.

The front desk staff were great. Also conveniently run the shuttle to the airport every half an hour 24 hours a day. Unfortunately, it was impossible to get a hold of anyone to ask about the shuttle service as the front desk staff were extremely busy. Every time I tried to call I was not able to get through to anyone. The restaurant had horrible service and I was thoroughly disgusted at the condition of their tables and ketchup bottles. The food also was not good. The rooms were outdated and over priced for what it is.

Stayed here the night before our flight south. Everything leaving was great. The shuttle for the return was subpar- half hour late. Shuttle only runs every half hour which is inconvenient, especially during busy hours at the airport. They should consider shuttles every 15 minutes during busy times as it fills quickly which jumps you to the next ride. Frustrating when you just want to get your vehicle and go home.

⭐ 1 Star – Humiliating Treatment at an “Airport Hotel”
Our family had an extremely upsetting experience at Holiday Inn Toronto International Airport (IHG).
This hotel advertises itself as an airport hotel, meant to serve and accommodate airline passengers during travel disruptions. Ironically, that is exactly why we were there—and yet we were treated with complete disregard and disrespect.
After our Air Transat flight to Cancun was canceled due to an on-board fire emergency, the airline placed us at this hotel and confirmed complimentary breakfast. This was confirmed twice—once at check-in and again the next morning when we called the front desk, who told us, “Yes, please be our guest.”
Despite this, when we arrived at the restaurant around 6:45 AM, the lady at the entrance rudely stated that only two people from our family of four could eat. We were traveling with two children, one with special needs. When we asked her to confirm with the front desk—as they had already confirmed—she refused and spoke to us in an unprofessional and dismissive manner.
To avoid conflict, we decided that only myself and my 5-year-old daughter would eat. Minutes later, the same staff member returned and said there had been a “confusion” and that our entire family was approved for breakfast.
Then, 15–20 minutes into our meal, a man who called himself a manager came to our table and told us—in the middle of eating—that we were not entitled to complimentary breakfast and that we would have to pay. He refused to confirm with the front desk and instructed us to stop eating and leave.
To be very clear: this is not about food or breakfast. It is about the way we were treated. We were made to feel humiliated, as if we were stealing food, in front of other guests. There was no apology, no empathy, and no attempt to resolve the confusion internally.
For a hotel that brands itself as an airport hotel serving stranded passengers, this behavior is unacceptable. The lack of coordination between staff and the manner in which a family with children was treated was shocking.
I strongly advise travelers—especially airline-displaced families—to think twice before staying here.
