- MMMako3Dec 26, 20252.0Had the absolute worst birthday at the SPA. I want to share my experience so the hotel can fix this place and improve their response policies. My husband cut his foot in the jacuzzi. We were sitting on the steps when one of the tiles, cut like a razor blade and sliced off an area of approximately 1 cm in diameter from his heel. He started bleeding immediately, and we requested help. I assumed they would close the jacuzzi right away due to the blood and for safety reasons, but they did not. The staff helped by providing basic assistance to clean the wound, but that was all. I expected they would assist us in getting medical attention so the injury could be properly cleaned and stitched, but that never happened. My husband could not walk due to the pain, and every time he tried, the wound started bleeding again. Because of this, we were unable to leave and had to stay there for lunch, spending an additional $150 that we had not planned to spend. Although the staff was very kind, what we truly needed was proper assistance. As tourists, we didn’t know what to do or where to go. They offered us the option to return and enjoy another full day at the pool, but one visit was more than enough after this experience. I really expected more from the hotel. My husband was extremely kind and did not make a big deal out of the situation because he didn’t want to ruin my day, but the hotel ultimately did with this lack of support, attention, and responsibility.
