  I recently stayed here and, given the high room rates, I left feeling disappointed with the accommodations. My room had orange and blue wallpaper that appeared poorly maintained. There was visible glue and white blotches all throughout. The overall condition felt dated — the tub was quite old, and the curtains had noticeable rips. For the price point, I expected a more updated and well-kept room. That said, where this place truly stands out is the people. The staff, especially in the buffet area, were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Their service made a positive impact on the overall experience. If the rooms were brought up to the same standard as the staff, this would be a much stronger stay.

  We stayed here for my mother in laws celebration of life. The staff, particularly Reese went above and beyond for us. He really made our stay that much better during these hard times. Thank you so much Reese!!

  Great location in the city, especially as out of town folks, everything is nearby. Service was excellent, always had what we needed. Breakfast was amazing everyday. Times for breakfast are really early though. Pool was great, hotub was really dirty. Room was clean, just wish we had someone do daily room service as garbage would pile up and we'd have to request the service. Overall good experience though.

  Our experience was fantastic from check in to check out! We stayed on Thursday March 12th and checked out Friday March 13th after a long drive we were greeted by a friendly face who joked and laughed with myself and my husband and it made our day thank you so much we think her name was Marion but not sure thank you so much!!

  I have stayed at this hotel every time we are in Thunder Bay, which is many times a year. In the past two years it has steadily declined for quality rooms. They are showing significant wear. Tonight takes the cake… the room smells like feet, perhaps hockey bags or maybe just dog smell (and I own and love dogs) we told the front desk, they offered to open our window and spray the room while we go for dinner. Ok, perhaps that will work, nope, feet smell still exists. Bed is lumpy and noisy, cracked sink, chips in the bottom of the tub, ripped wallpaper, blood splattered lamp shade and to think they just increased the price this year by $16/night!! There are newer and recently renovated hotels for less. Time to try something new.
