  We love the Norwester, but the last few times we have stayed there, our room has not had a microwave. It has been really disappointing. There is a microwave available in the main lobby, but that is not very convenient. If every room had a microwave, the hotel would be back to a 5 star rating.

  close to the airport, very clean and well maintained hotel. Stayed 4 nights and had no issues. Recommend this hotel and have booked a return stay in a month

  Amazing experience! Everyone has been so friendly. Our room was fantastic and the breakfast was incredible! This will be my new go to hotel in Thunder Bay.

  The breakfast lady at this hotel is one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had, very attentive and kind personality, really enjoyed the swim also at the pool and love the pet friendly room I received for my two small doggies

  This is a complicated review. The room was beautiful, along with the help from the kind staff. Location beautiful but far from town. That said, we had a house fire and lost everything. We took our kids here in the expensive room (cliff hanger suite), to play in the pool and watch movies for a break from what was happening in our real life. Neither TV worked. The staff were kind and did a reboot (which took a very long time) and it didn't fix the issue. They called technical support who also didn't correct the issue. The other tv "worked" but internet was so slow that it was unwatchable since it was buffering for 2 minutes every 20 seconds or so. They did give us a 25% discount.... but spending the evening with a staff member in my room rather than playing with my little boys and having to disappoint them by promising movie night and snacks that also never happened, didn't feel "corrected" by the discount. Especially because of how extreme our situation was. I would be hesitant to stay there again and if you do, maybe call first to check that the amenities you are needing are actually functioning. Kind staff, beautiful site, basic seimming pool was awesome but rooms that don't function as intended and dont have quick fixes either.
