Usually stay with IHG and have had good experiences so figured I'd go with the reliable brand. When I got there I was told that even though there are rooms available, there is no way to book a room at this time of day wether it's done in person or from the app and that there is nothing they can possibly do because it requires a mangers permission and access code. Showed the front desk person that the app was allowing me to book for the 30th-31st and he said it wouldn't go through and would reject at the end and even if it didn't there's no way he could do an early check in for me. So now I'm going to sleep in my car. Thanks IHG. Honestly didn't expect to be let down like this.

Deleting a one star review is crazy unprofessional. I've now provided proof directly from IHG that my partner and I absolutely stayed at your hotel and everything happened exactly as I described it. I'm also now formally complaining to IHG. We stayed at the Holiday Inn St. Thomas from November 20 to December 2 after being displaced from our home. The Holiday Inn London was overbooked, so we needed somewhere to stay for 12 nights and ended up here instead. Unfortunately, the difference in service between this location and the Holiday Inn London was night and day. When we checked in, we realized I had accidentally booked an extra space king room instead of a suite. I went to the front desk right away, explained our situation, acknowledged that the booking error was mine, and asked if there was anything they could do to help. The manager showed a complete lack of empathy and essentially told us there was nothing that could be done, advising us to come back after three days. They couldn’t even offer a two-bed room as an alternative. I was honestly shocked by how little concern there was, especially given the circumstances and the length of our stay. After experiencing genuine care and compassion at the Holiday Inn London, this felt especially disappointing. The breakfast buffet was okay, and the pool was extremely small. Neither made up for the lack of customer service. We weren’t looking for special treatment, just some basic understanding and willingness to help. Based on our experience, we would not stay at this location again, particularly given how much better our experience was at the Holiday Inn London.
