  I booked this hotel online through their website which I didn’t know was through a third party. I booked it on March 17 at 8:59am, I booked it for 3 days. Didn’t know it was the non-refundable option and paid the full amount. Shortly after, the same day March 17 at 9:11am I cancelled it and explained my situation that due to personal circumstances with a family member, I couldn’t make it anymore. I figured I would cancel the reservation and the refund will process and it never did. I called and was denied and then after pleading my case they only refunded 1-night after not even stepping foot in the hotel. I understand the policy, but humans make mistakes and I was aware to cancel the same day to give notice to the hotel as soon as possible. However, the guest relations team had no sympathy or heart and speaking to multiple people from customer care with similar responses. I had to call back several times as they mentioned a supervisor or manager would call back within 2 hours and never did. Imagine if you’re in a similar position, these companies are just out to get your money and do not care. Supporting this hotel chain is something I’m going to reconsider as I travel for work frequently. I would double check your bookings or God forbid make a mistake.

  Will not be staying again due to serious concerns about how this hotel location handles guest safety. While staying here for business (female, alone), I was wakened from sleep at 1:15am to a knock at my door. Startled, I began to reach for the light when the person started banging on the door. At this point, I'm terrified, and check the peep hole to see Uber eats. I called out to say it was the wrong room and immediately called the front desk to figure out why this person had access to my floor at that time of night. They simply apologized and said the person typically has the room number and they send them up. This was (still is) alarming considering any person with a take out bag could get access to the entire hotel at that time of night. Perhaps this is ok for some guests, but I would warn females to be aware of this level of access since at that point you're basically staying at a motel. EDIT: I see the company has responded indicating a policy that still allows access to any floor, to any guest's door, but now before midnight. This essentially allows for the same situation I experienced to recur (I was asleep by 11pm). The 'policy' appears to value snack rights over safety. My original review stands.

  We had a great stay at Holiday Inn Express Sarnia - Point Edward by IHG before driving across the border to the US for our road trip. The room was noticeably more spacious compared with many hotels in the GTA area, which made the stay very comfortable. The location is also great, just a short walk to the waterfront, so it’s a nice place to relax before continuing your journey. A convenient and pleasant stop if you’re planning to cross the border nearby.

  Recently spent a week at this location and have nothing but great things to say. Very clean well appointed rooms, well stocked and managed breakfast and the staff were all incredibly polite and kind. Highly recommend
