  Hotel isn't bad, but for 296 dollars (listed price, I used points) a night on a random Thursday in February id stay somewhere else. Hot water literally took 10 minutes to get hot in the shower, and they hit you with a parking pass that's almost 40 dollars a night which should be criminal. I also expect a smart TV for those prices, but that's just me. Being downtown expect to be woken up early with random traffic and back up sirens, but this was something I expected booking in the downtown location.

  I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Ottawa Parliament Hill for 10 days. Rooms were clean and well-maintained throughout my stay. Pros: great location near Parliament Hill, friendly and accommodating front desk staff, excellent service. Cons: none noted. Overall, highly recommend for a comfortable and convenient stay in Ottawa.

  The front desk representative on 19FEB2026 (a young man with a nose ring and jet black hair) was the most rude person I’ve ever met. I had approached him to inform him of my health concerns (cluster phobia) regarding my room size being the corner room (room 208). He immediately replied that there was no way he could help as all the rooms on my floor and in fact the entire hotel were occupied. He went off to say I could vacate the room and get refunded or leave the front desk. When I insisted on speak with someone else, he threatened he’d call the cops on me. He went ahead to tell my 9 year old son to my face that he would not want to have to deal with a troubled mother like myself. I’ve never been that insulted in my life. He threatened again to call the cops on me if I didn’t leave the front desk. My son ran upstairs traumatized. I asked for his name but he declined. I’m sure you’d be able to identify him via your staff roster for the night. I didn’t leave without letting him know I’d be making an official complaint to the management. He informed me that it doesn’t work that way at your hotel. He said that management didn’t care about customers feedback since we’d be gone soon anyways. I had a terrible experience during my 3 days stay due to his lack of customer care ethics. Niloo, Lamine & Mohammad were very decent and professional with us.

  I stayed at the Holiday Inn in downtown Ottawa, conveniently located near Parliament Hill, and had an excellent experience. The customer service was outstanding—staff were genuinely kind, helpful, and welcoming. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I also appreciated the seating area where guests can relax and enjoy drinks. A special mention goes to Muhammad Salah, who provided exceptional service and truly enhanced my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ottawa.

  Had a great stay at this hotel. It was clean, the room seemed somewhat recently updated, staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was ideal for what we had planned for the trip. The bathroom was small but clean, and even though we were only two people we booked a room with two beds to give us a bit more space. I’ve stayed in other city hotels in king bed rooms and found them small, so tried to get around that here and it worked out. We used the parking garage, which was definitely old and narrow but was fine. Just be prepared that it is a city parking garage and was probably built before most people drove oversized SUVs. It was nice that you can take the elevator up to your room floor from the garage, though. Overall a good experience and would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Ottawa!
