- SKShaun King6 days ago5.0I stayed at this hotel for work in Novemeber of 2025. Rooms were nice, clean and large. Each evening my room was reset. Breakfast was excellent. Full spread each morning with fresh fruit, cereal, oats, pancake machine, etc. Hit the spot each day with an over and above continental. Only downside was the pool was closed for renovations, but it did not impact my stay. 5 stars across the board for a week of travel.

About 5 minutes walk to ByWard Market which is great. Neighbourd is rugged so perhaps not ideal for families or general tourists, but I was very pleased with my stay there.

Für Raucher gibt es leider keine außen liegenden Sitzgelegenheiten. Die Lage ist direkt an der Hauptstraße, von der Lautstärke bekommt man in den Zimmern jedoch nichts mit. Kurze Fußwege ins Zentrum.

The rooms are very comfortable, staff are generally nice, facilities are in good shape, decent sized parking lot, however the nearby streets are very sketchy at night though hotel has a security guard in the lobby area and doors are locked after certain hours at night. Below is the detailed review. Location: The hotel is at a 10 minute walk from main downtown area with all attractions and markets. Unfortunately there are hoards of homeless people out on the streets at night which does not give a safe feeling. If you have to park at a garage nearby you must walk back with certain care. Rooms: The rooms are modern, new, well furnished, and very comfortable. The furniture is new, there are ample or charging outlets across the room. There is decent closet space and iron with board is available. Bathroom: The bathrooms are super nice and have the best fixtures, very nice amenities, and good water pressure. Breakfast: The typical Holiday Inn breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausages, while the bakery section has good variety. Juices, water, yogurt, and tea/coffee. The coffee maker is available for hotel guests all day round. Parking: The paid basement parking garage is very convenient, however it gets filled up very quickly. The other options are at a 2 minute drive and minute walk. The overnight weekend rates at external parking garage are half than what the hotel charges. Staff: A big shout out to all East Asian staff working at the property from front desk to breakfast. All were very kind, polite, & extremely helpful. The other staff members were not very friendly or either helpful. Stark contrast between the level of service from both group of staff members. The common areas are also nice with various types of comfortable seating available. Overall this is the more affordable option near downtown Ottawa.
