  If i could give this hotel zero stars i would. The staff here are rude and judgemental. I drove 6 hours solo up to Ottawa for school. As i checked in i went to use my credit card to put the deposit down. My card was not working. The worker then asked me if i forgot my code or had insufficient funds, both were incorrect. I called my mom and told her what was happening and she wanted to speak to the manager. They then told me that the manager is too busy, even though customers always should come first, with me working in service knowing that. They then asked my mom to drive up to use a different card knowing we live 6 hours away???? After this they tell me to go sit down and wait for someone else. They bring out a girl named sherri who offered for me to pay 250 dollars on a debit card but i would have to check out early for them to even give me my money back? Sherri scolded me for not knowing i had to put a deposit down and then i explained to her i did know that and that my card isn’t working. Then when i explained that my Mother booked it through Expedia, she scolds my mother that she should have known that a deposit needs to go down. So for the fourth time i explain it’s my card and felt like shit as she kept making me and my mother feel like idiots. So after 45 minutes i could finally check in which is absolutely ridiculous. Staff was very rude. I had to be up at 7am the next morning. I couldn’t sleep more than two hours throughout the night! It was so loud in the hallways, walls were banging, etc. I have never been to such a terrible hotel with such condescending, rude, judgemental staff! It is sad because me and my family love best western hotels, so i will be returning but definitely NOT to this location.

  Room was as expected for the price: basic and clean. Service was slow at the reception desk for check in even though I had filled all required information at the time of reservation. Service was painfully slow at the restaurant. Only one EV charging plan for 8 hours, making it useless for short periods. Speed was ok for level 2 charging.

  The standards at this hotel are far below the Best Western Plus hotels- I booked one of the premium rooms on the 4th floor directly from the hotel website. While the room it self was comfortable and spacious, the service and the hygiene situation left so much to be desired. The hotel does not provide slippers for in room use- This is the first hotel I have ever been to that did not provide slippers, very unhygienic not to mention the floor of the room is freezing, even with thick winter socks, so short of walking around in boots your feet will be cold. When we asked for slippers we were told the hotel doesn't provide them and we should go to shoppers to purchase them... they also do not provide block soaps for handwashing- instead there is a bottle of liquid soap fastened to the wall far off from the sink, again much to be desired in terms of hygiene. This is not a cheap hotel, the room was over $200 for one night and considering the price point and the location which is not ideal one would expect slippers and soap... I would never stay here again and would not recommend.

  I highly recommend Best Western Plus. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and very clean. Wifi is included. Breakast at the Cafe was delicious and the portions are huge. There's a gym and pool, however, the pool is outside for summer time use. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Lots of shopping within walking distance. My experience was great!

  At around 10pm I called the desk asking if the transport trucks would be running outside my window all night and was told ‘yes!’ In a celebratory tone - they stay here! Even with ear plugs I was unable to sleep, idling up and down 3 trucks all night. They could have parked further away and the desk shouldn’t have put me or anyone in the rooms closest to the known noise issue. I think I got this room because I found a good rate on Trivago but no deal is good enough to lose sleep. They offered to move me late at night but I was all unpacked and in bed and decided to suffer through it. They didn’t seem very full so why didn’t they put me at the other end of the building, feeling punished for getting a good rate.
