The rooms are just mediocre. The beds are squeaky as they are spring mattress. The water pressure in the shower was barely there. You could barely rinse off the soap. The provided Dove bathroom soaps were so full of floral scent it was gross. Also the bathrooms have no fans in them. One elevator was not working so waiting for an elevator took awhile. The tv in the room when watching the mouths didn’t match the actual volume coming out which was annoying. It was off at least 5 seconds. The gym is very small and the pool was discoloured as it’s very old. The area is very sketchy. Lots of homeless people and not an appealing part of town. It was very expensive stay for what it was.

Cons:
Location is next to a convention centre. If you are looking to book on a weekend you may want to reconsider as the extremely loud music and thumping (!!!) bass are unbearable. So loud it feels like a dance party in your own room. This went on until 1am, so nobody slept.
The area is sketchy and filled with homeless people. If you drive a pickup truck it won’t fit into the underground parking so don’t leave anything valuable in there.
There were only king and pullout couches available. Pull out couch has a very thin springy mattress that wouldn’t be comfortable for anyone beyond the weight of a toddler.
The pool is supposed to be heated but it’s cold. The water is murky and doesn’t look clean at all.
Showers have no pressure and it’s hard to get the soap out of your hair. We asked for more towels since there are 4 of us, but they never came.
Feels like they cheaped out on a lot of little things that would have made a difference.
Pros:
Breakfast is good and there are lots of options. The rooms are clean and appear recently renovated.
Wendell Clark’s restaurant is next door and the food/service is really good.

Stayed NYE to attend a party in town. The rooms were a standard hotel room and it was clean but the bed is an older spring mattress that you could hear squeaking all night.
The biggest issue was that they had some sort of maintenance issue with the elevator and an electrical fire filling the hallways and rooms with a disgusting smell of burning plastic and chemicals. The fire alarms went off and fire department came. Both elevators were out of service for more than 3 hours, forcing us to climb the 6 floors to our room. We had troubles locating the stairs and a staff member walked us outside, around the building, down a snow filled ally way to be able to get back to our room.
The staff were rather unfriendly and unhelpful. When mentioned some sort of reimbursement for all of the inconvenience that was going on his response was “you’re not a member so NO, what do you expect us to comp everyone’s room ?” It was a pretty rude response when the hotel industry is supposed to pride itself on accommodations and hospitality.
On top of that the “free breakfast” that is offered is only available for the first half hour they are running , beyond that they rarely restock items to the point people are waiting to push their way through for some food. It took me 25 minutes to get bacon, toast & eggs because by the time they served the eggs the bacon was completely gone. Again when my husband went to speak to the front desk to ask about it her response was “they fill it when they fill it “
I doubt I’ll be staying here again simply because the service was so poor, I understand that things happen and an electrical fire is out of their control, but there is also appropriate ways to deal with it from a customer service aspect instead of just being ok with getting the fee for the one nights stay, you could’ve had a customer retained for future stays. Very disappointing stay

Room services were good but desk attendants were extremely rude and not accommodating. There are also no stairs to get to the lobby, elevator only, which is constantly full so you get completely stuck on the main floor with no access to the stairway. Would never go back.

The staff are super friendly and super helpful. I’d probably give it higher stars if they weren’t for these few things.
None of the TVs have smart capability so we weren’t really able to watch anything just problematic with a toddler. We had our iPads, but it is just so much better to watch a movie or anything on the TV. They basically made the TV was useless, it’s very good to hang sweaters on though. Other than that, the room was actually very clean. I was sitting on the floor so I could tell you in detail. It was pretty clean.
The pool was absolutely the most disgusting pool I’ve ever been to. I cannot reiterate, how disgusting this pool is if you’re coming, thinking you will be using the pool do not. it is gross. When I was on the ground, it’s lots of chunks of hair. I accidentally swallowed hair, which wasn’t mine and I threw up. I cannot reiterate how much random hair was in there and how disgusting the pool was the photo they had where it’s blue yeah that pool was green and there was algae and it made me feel slimy. It is the worst pool I’ve ever been to. Do not use the pool. (I should have looked at other reviews)
I will give it a higher rating, but me throwing up because going to the pool. I literally went upstairs to take a shower. It’s a small thing also but none of them to room seemed to have baths which it wasn’t really clear in the photos that they were baths. It was a little disappointing as well cause I had to clean myself and a toddler in a shower. That’s a small thing though.
Edit:
Hi Amanda,
I did in fact stay at this property and checked out on December 27, 2025. The reservation was under the same name shown on my Google profile (Riananne Banks).
The pool experience I described occurred during this stay and is accurately reported. I’m disappointed that my feedback was dismissed publicly rather than reviewed internally.
I shared my experience to inform other guests, particularly families, and I stand by the details provided.
