  There was an extremely inconsiderate and noisy boys lacrosse team staying in our hallway. Not just the usual ambient noise of people but full on running up and down halls and stairs yelling, doors slamming etc. Adults too and went on until past 1:30 am. Nothing done about it seemingly. Also, toilet overflowed twice in 19 hour stay (once right after we checked in) and housekeeping knocked on our door before 10 am to ask if we're checking out (no, were trying to sleep thanks to jerks who kept us up half the night) when we weren't checking out until after 12 pm. Brutal. No noise muffling, location is noisy with the highway and anyone in the hall talking sounds like they're inside the room with you.

  If you want to pay for a $200 headache, sleepless night full of multiple fire alarms and screams, then this is the right place for you. If you're thinking of staying at this hotel, think again, as this is the worst place to stay, it's more of a low class roadside motel, nothing like the photos. The front desk told us they were giving us a room in a quieter place, but there were kids screaming in the halls, running and slamming doors, but what took the cake was that those kids pulled the fire alarm twice. After having checked in for less than an hour, and the fire alarm had gone off, we packed our bags, gave our keys to the front desk (told her we were leaving) as they were dealing with firefighters, and that's how we ended our horrible stay. My husband and I have dealt with loud uncontrolled children, and that was fine, but the fire alarm twice, we werejhust fed up and knew we were not going to stay and find out if they were going to pull it a third time. As a Best Western Plus member, this location and stay were anything but PLUS. Do NOT book here, I highly suggest staying anywhere else but that place. After we left the keys with the front desk receptionist, we called Best Western Plus Corporate and documented the incident and made clear that we left the keys with the front desk receptionist, that we were not staying anymore, that we were dissatisfied with our horrible stay, and were on our way back home. The morning after, we called to follow up with getting a full refund because we had not stayed in the room for more than an hour, the manager said we would not get the refund and offered a measly 10% discount from our stay. Our experience was a $200 headache, sleepless night. And to top it all off, I learned that we were not checked out at the hotel during this followup call, so, not only did we have a horrible experience, but the front desk receptionist did not do the 1 of 2 jobs she has: checking people in and checking people out. By taking our keys to the room and us saying after the second fire alarm incident, "we're not staying in our room anymore, we're going home", she did not check us out. Outrageous, and out right incompetent. So since we're not getting our refund, I am leaving this very detailed review to warn people that this is the experience at this horrible roadside dump that smells of cheap roadside motel.

  Cleanup of room acceptable. Bathroom door sticky. Shower acceptable: moderate shower pressure. Towels for 4 plus baby as declared on reservation. Rating - 3 out of 5 Good way to treat a Best Western loyalty member. Breakfast selection very good and well presented and serviced.

  Just arrived really good check in Alex made things go smoothly. Room and bathroom is clean, beds are firm and cozy. Great job best western oshawa. Staff is also very friendly.
