She was very friendly and professional and booked me in quickly Hadn't stayed on the North Bay waterfront before and was looking forward to the adventure. Left Ottawa late at night secure in the knowledge that a safe haven awaited. Followed the GPS into town and took a left through some windy back roads down to the waterfront. A friendly receptionist was on duty on the evening of Sunday, Nov. 15. Didn't get her name (my bad as a reviewer) but she was very courteous and efficient. She gave me a map of the hotel so I could find my room and a good parking spot. The room was nicely appointed, comfortable & right across from the pool. She gave me some recommendations for late-night eats. Plenty of options available late at night and close to the hotel. Slept really well and headed to the pool for a few AM laps. A few families splashing about but found a lane & got some quality time in. Brenna was on duty & checked me out prior to the 11 AM deadline. She's effervescent & happy & set a positive tone for the day. Put my luggage into the vehicle, moved to the front entrance and went into the hotel restaurant. The food was really good & great value for the dollar. Waitress extraordinaire Jenna was very personable & came by with a much-needed coffee refill. Drove down the waterfront in the daylight and marveled at the wonders of the strip. Wound through town guided by the GPS and got back onto the west-bound highway. It was pouring rain and 0 degrees, so was glad to be surfing along of the storm. Had a great time at the Best Western. Will repeat and recommend.
