- KKKimmy KJan 23, 20263.0I am editi g this review from 5 stars to 3 stars after our experience at breakfast on 1-24-26. There was a group of parebts with boys age about 8 yrs. old. They were "out of control". One child made 32 pancakes at the machine all whil the parental group laughed about it. Those pancakes were no eaten. Another two children mixed cereal in a cup and then added orange juice and coffee numerous times whole two mothers stood there watching and encouraging them to add other juices. Not only was this wasteful, these kids were out of control playing hockey with sticks and a puck in the dining area. Others were complaining and I too we t to the girl at the Holiday Inn side desk and complained, asking for a manager to address it. The girl appeared to dismiss it and a manager never came to address it. This group should be banned from IHG hotels at a minimum. What a disgusting display of parenting. No wonder kids are becoming criminals at younger ages. No one cares, not even this hotel about the happiness of their other paying guests. However, it was a fair breakfast. It was odd to see baked beans at the breakfast bar. Very friendly breakfast staff on Friday and Saturday, sorry that they had to clean up the mess left by the unruly group.. Sausage tasted like chemicals though, please change the brand. The one bedroom was a nice room. Pool was closed. Three hotels close by each other and one has a bar restaurant. However, the large city of St. Catherine's is within 10-15 minutes away. I hope that the management of this hotel takes better charge of these types of situations in the past. Put up signs that state that children cannot be unsupervised at the breakfast bar, find out what "hockey" group that this was and don't let them return. I am very disappointed on how the hotel ignored this. Many other patrons of the hotel stated that they were checking out early if this group were staying another night.
