  While this is a cool concept for a weekend getaway with littles (6 and 4) it was far too loud at nighttime for our kids to get to sleep before midnight. Families were set-up in the courtyard area with personal speakers and were singing loudly. We called front desk and they implied there wasn't much they could do until after 11 p.m. when the courtyard closed. Fair enough, we'll know for next time that this isn't the best space for kids with earlier bedtimes. We left and didn't stay the second night, however, we enjoyed the pool and our kids loved the "win every time" claw machine in the arcade.

  We have stayed at the BW Cairns Croft a few times over the years as a little winter night away with the kids. It has a lovely indoor pool area plus the Irish pub adjoined which has great food and entertainment. We find it a great spot for a reasonable price as a family. This year we opted for a family suite vs a standard room as there wasn't a huge price increase. OMG what a pleasant surprise It was a beautiful suite fully decorated for the holidays, with a full size Christmas tree, many cute decorations all around and all extremely elegant, festive and cosy. Every little detail was incredible, including the candy canes and hot chocolate and marshmallows left out for the kids. All the board games, festive colouring books and books left out for the kids was a nice touch. We enjoyed it so much it was home from home and just felt really special. We traveled with a group of 14 of us and our friends all had regular rooms so they all came and hung out in our room for games night with their kids and there was plenty of space for us all. We enjoyed a delicious meal at Doc Mcgiligans next door which had a singer with acoustic guitar who played songs to suit all ages in our group. My only negative comment about our stay was that the pool side bar was closed as it was a week day, however it was during the holidays (Dec 29) and was packed with families so I think they should have opened. I must add tho that the staff working in the golf lounge were incredible they went above and beyond in making sure my kids had slush puppies and even some frozen adult cocktails we could take out to the pool. I felt like we were at a resort. All in all, great value for money and a really nice little family night away. We will keep returning every winter.

  I recently stayed in this hotel for the first time. I am Very Happy with the service I received especially the front desk. I had requested room change and cut my trip from 2 nights to one night. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. They tried to accommodate my request no matter what. The room is a bit outdated but the bed is comfortable. In addition they are not cheap on the towels or conditioners or cups, etc. I didn’t need to request anything for my stay. The hotel has a courtyard with a swimming pool which is perfect for family with young children.

  It’s old. The outlets in our room don’t work and had to use the one in the washroom. Thankfully we got a non carpet room that was the highlight. The pool looked yellow and the amount of shock the gave that pool your eyes would burn just being in that area. We didn’t use a choice for the place as it was for a hockey tournament. Security was called multiple times to our floor with kids screaming and yelling from midnight to 2AM. So just a heads up not forget about any sleep. The lounge was alright, nice place to chill but they close at 11PM so if you’re trying to finish a football game you get kicked out to the lobby.

  I stayed at the hotel with my family from December 24th to 28th, 2025, and I can say it was our best choice. We wanted a place with indoor options in case it was snowing during our stay, and this hotel exceeded all our expectations. We were very well received, the accommodations and leisure areas are clean and organized. Even with a wind chill of -10°C outdoors, we enjoyed the pool because the temperature was very pleasant indoors. The hotel is well located, there's a supermarket next door and several restaurants on the same street, including a Tim Hortons across the street. I definitely recommend it and we will return!
