I confidently recommend this hotel. 10/10 We enjoyed an extended stay at the Staybridge Suites in London, Ontario. The rooms have recently been upgraded and it shows; modern, clean, accessible and accommodating. We had 2 rooms and our pets with us, the staff were understanding, professional and friendly. We recieved luxury treatment, from breakfasts and light suppers cooked by in-house staff, to fresh linens when requested. If I ever have the opportunity - I will be returning to Staybridge Suites in London, Ontario.

If I could leave negative stars I would. Where to begin. We stayed at here for a hockey tournament. Upon check in there were multiple teams checking in (you would assume they would be aware that multiple teams have booked since they have to block the rooms)- there was only one person at the check in desk. It was pure chaos and took forever to get rooms. One team family received the wrong room and were told the hotel was sold out. They explained that the room could not accommodate 3 people sleeping in one king bed and kept being told the hotel was sold out. After asking for a refund and saying they would go elsewhere, magically a room became available. We had a family try to phone in multiple days in a row to cancel one night of their stay as their child was sick and not attending the first night to no avail reaching anyone at the front desk. This family was told upon check in they would not be charged for that night. When check out came- they were in fact charged for it. The biggest issue and this will be my warning to families staying with kids. Their staff take pictures and video (on personal devices) their guests including kids and teens if they deem they are doing something that isn’t within the rules. The first incident happened when one of the team members was in the gym was no shirt on. The staff member watched him exit the gym still with no shirt on and started taking pictures. He expressed it made him feel uncomfortable. Our team designated a parent hang out room and a team hang out room- all on the same floor all within 2 doors of each other. Pretty normal. Our boys got a noise complaint (valid) and the front desk knocked on the door. When the boys answered she had her phone in her hand recording, walked in to the room (still recording) and yelling at the boys they are being fined $500 for a noise complaint. Not once did she request an adult. When approached by the family whose room it was plus another parent she was asked why she was filming the boys. She refused to answer. She was asked why an adult was not requested and why a warning was not given. And again, asked why she was filming the kids. The staff member became very aggressive and saying we are all bad parents for leaving kids alone. That she was allowed to do this etc. The argument for heated because she refused to respond to why she was filming the boys and why she did not ask for an adult. She then phone the police. Police came- she told them every parent was drunk (incorrect), that we were all horrible parents and that we were verbally assaulting her. When explained to the police that she was videoing the kids they asked if we wanted to file a report. We said no- we just wanted the videos deleted and to address with management after. The police left ultimately deeming the staff the aggressor. We asked the staff member for her name and she continued to tell us we are shitty parents, saying we are still coming after her and we are whitewashed team and wouldn’t be able to pronounce her name anyway. When management was made aware of this situation they said the staff member did everything right. This is within the hotel guidelines of how they handle these situations and that they stand behind the staff. Long story short- hotels have security cameras for a reason. If you want random strangers (hotel staff) being openly allowed to video and take pictures of your children on their personal devices- this is the place for you.

Our stay at Staybridge Suites London, Ontario was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had, and Hockey families especially should think twice before booking here. 1. Misleading, contradictory, and downright unprofessional billing practices We called the hotel multiple times the day before arrival to cancel the first night because our son became sick. One staff member clearly told us the cancellation would be allowed and to call back later to confirm. We followed every instruction, spoke to multiple employees, and were even told the hotel was fully booked—meaning our room would be resold anyway. Despite doing everything in good faith, the hotel still charged us the full amount and then tried to label it a “no-show.” From my perspective, this felt like the hotel just wanted to collect money for a night they had already resold. The shifting stories from staff made the whole situation feel incredibly shady. 2. Disturbing and unacceptable treatment of minors What happened with our 13-year-old son and his teammates was absolutely unacceptable. Instead of calling us—the registered adults—the front desk employee went straight to a room with only minors inside, stepped into the room, filmed them, and threatened them with a $500 fine. The boys were terrified. Some came to us crying. No parent should have to deal with that, and I cannot believe a hotel employee thought this was appropriate behaviour. 3. Management’s response was downright dismissive When we tried to address this with the manager, he brushed it off, claimed there was “no proof,” and showed zero interest in investigating what happened. No review of logs, no follow-up, nothing. The lack of accountability was astonishing. Between the misleading billing, the unprofessional staff, and the disturbing incident involving children, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. This was not just poor service—this was unacceptable. We will never return, and I strongly suggest other families consider staying elsewhere. I appreciate your response, but we both know that your team mishandled the situation. I am prepared to escalate this matter by involving the police to retrieve the video footage from your building’s cameras. There were six guests in the room, and they are not all fabricating their accounts. Additionally, the staff member at the front desk even acknowledged to the police that she was recording, which clearly violates your policy regarding minors in private rooms. Furthermore, during my conversation with your staff member on Thursday, she informed me that I could cancel the room, so I'm unclear about your claims of a 72-hour cancellation policy. Typically, the policy is 24 hours. She even assured me that my reservation would remain intact, yet you still chose to cancel it and rebook the room, effectively making double the profit by charging me as well. This is unacceptable and requires immediate rectification.
