A huge shoutout to the front desk team, especially the lovely Filipino woman working on Sunday evening, who was so kind and helpful. And I can’t say enough about the overnight staff, Ash and Kashmira — their hospitality genuinely made this such a memorable and enjoyable experience. Ash went out of his way to get me hot water for my tea and help me with printing, and that small act of care really stood out.
I also want to mention the gentleman who handles the cleaning in the lobby — he’s so kind and attentive, and his presence really added to the welcoming atmosphere.
I was so impressed with my stay at the Holiday Inn! The suites are newly renovated, very modern, and incredibly spacious. The bed and mattress were beyond comfortable, and the water pressure was amazing, everything about the room was designed for true comfort and relaxation. The vanities were beautiful, and I especially appreciated the convenience of the free laundry facilities, which made my week-long stay even better. There’s so many food options right beside the hotel and a giant tiger store right across the street. Even though it’s on the outskirts of town, you still have evening you need at your fingertips.
I’ve stayed in many hotels throughout the past year, but this experience truly stands out. I’ve already been telling my friends how amazing my stay was! If I ever come back to London, I’ll definitely be staying here again. Thank you to the whole team for making this such a comfortable, warm, and memorable week.

Room was fine and comfortable. Great location from the arenas and lots of restaurants to choose from as well as gas station and a mall. Service was okay, considering they blocked ahead of time rooms for both hockey and ringette tournaments they had one elevator that was out of order. Not once did anyone come to repair, front desk said that it would be fixed Friday...coffee station, no milk, when I had asked front desk male manager said there was none. But when one of the caretakers noticed, not only did he replace but got fresh coffee too.
Absolutely terrible experience! We have stayed at multiple Holiday Inn Express suites, and always had pleasant stays, but this weekend was terrible! I rarely write reviews, but thought I would share so that others can avoid the trouble and save their money. We stayed 2 nights, and thought we had complimentary breakfast, as stated online and always available at Holiday Inn Express, you don’t get breakfast. The restaurant was closed and we were informed you can get a voucher for breakfast next door at Stacked Pancakes, yet, this was not part of our reservation as a hockey team booking? We didn’t pay cheaper for the hockey team rates, and were NOT informed we wouldn’t have complimentary breakfast. Had we known, we would’ve booked elsewhere, as this is a huge savings for us when travelling for sports. They do have complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby, but the first morning, Saturday morning at 7:30am they had ran out of cream and never had any for the entire weekend, only milk. We go back to our room to get ready, and our power goes out in our room as we had a hair dryer and iron plugged in. Upon calling the front desk we are informed they need to call a third party maintenance company, to reset the breaker and we would be without power until noon. I’ve never ran out of power at a hotel, EVER. The front desk clerk (J.D) was just arrogant about it, offering no other solution. The hotel was fully booked so he couldn’t offer us another room to get ready.. We blow dried our hair in the hallway before going to the rink.. If the hotel was at full capacity all weekend, why isn’t there a maintenance person available?! One of the elevators was down all weekend, and the operational one was SO slow, so going up and down was always a lineup. Overall, the experience wasn’t pleasant, when you pay $200 a night, you just expect the basics, complimentary breakfast when stated, electricity, and maybe some cream for coffee? There’s other options in London and we definitely wouldn’t be going back

This is my second tour of duty at holiday inn / Candlewood Suites, and I swear they gave me the same room, okay maybe not the same room but at least the same key card, same everything—just booked under whichever brand logo they’re using this week. How can the price be different?
The view is classic London: a majestic stretch of roadwork that’s been “in progress” since my last visit in August. It’s November now, and not a cone has moved. Truly, a monument to municipal perseverance.
The elevator adds drama to every trip. It stops at every floor like it’s hosting a meet-and-greet. Great cardio opportunity if you take the stairs—less great when you’re dragging luggage through the minor hockey invasion of 2025.
Coffee was an issue, they provide drip coffee in the room but no filters. The free coffee in the lobby was empty as all the hockey parents filled up before heading to the rink. The restaurant remains closed (a bold choice for a hotel). Instead, you’re invited to pay for breakfast next door, where hockey parents are recreating a Tim Hortons drive-thru line indoors. That left me with driving to Mcdonalds.
At $250 a night, it’s a $100 experience wrapped in optimism. Interesting, the room was $124 on Sunday. Honestly, the local drunk tank might offer more excitement, less waiting, and at least a guaranteed wake-up call.
Save the money and stay somewhere else! This is the last time I stay at this specific location.
Rented a “suite” with my wife.
Air conditioning wasn’t even plugged into the wall, room missing cups for the tiny keurig machine with one single coffee in the suite, had to call the desk for the terrible awkward receptionist to bring paper cups up to the room.
Room has exposed cracks and paint and drywall on the walls, extremely poor quality and craftsmanship, outlets installed upside down.
Zero care, poor service, poor quality “suite”.
