I mentioned to front desk that they should send maintenance to check out the issue upon leaving and they didn't seem to care at all. My wife was excited about staying but due to having hardly any sleep was unpleasant stay.

Noisy too, kids running up and down the halls. Very strong chlorine odour from the pool. With the construction on wellington it was a bit of a challenge to turn left daily. Would not recommend for persons who have appointments at the hospital.

I visited the hotel several times to reserve a room near the pool, and with the help of a friendly staff, we were able to secure the room we wanted. - SSSckNov 11, 20251.0Found a German cockroach in the room. Would not go back or recommend others to stay at the Lamplighter Inn London. If you see one roach you know there are a lot more where it came from. We had 2 rooms booked and they would only refund the room we saw the cockroach in even though the rooms were beside each other (we weren’t going to stick around to find another cockroach). Per management cockroaches come in with the palm trees (aka a known issue). A quick google search will let you know that German cockroaches do not come in on trees. Also we checked in after the check in time, show up at our room and there was maintenance still being done. Not sure why we were given a room that wasn’t prepared. The main reason we booked this hotel was for the pool but the experience was ruined by this and we also found it strange that the water slide is not operational during the week. Note: we emailed the picture of the cockroach as requested, spoke to the manager (which we were told they come in on the palm trees…basically known issue and no big deal). We requested to speak to the general manager where we left a voicemail. There is plenty of record of this issue and your hotel did not follow up with us.

I appreciate the email and the response on my Google review. Accordingly my review of this hotel is back to 5 stars as not only is it a nice hotel, I now know that their customer service is amazing! The hotel is clean, and the rooms are comfortable. They are basic rooms but in good repair and everything you need from a hotel room. Also, I highly recommend the room service breakfast! The portion sizes for the kids meals are amazing! The prices are so reasonable! Can’t wait to return! And thank you again for the incredible customer service. It is unfortunate our atrium experience wasn’t the best however, we are relieved to know we don’t have to seek out a new fave London Hotel!
