- WHWilliam H3 days ago5.0During our stay we had other guests with a youth hockey team act like complete idiots. Many Drunken adults. Letting kids run in the halls pounding on doors, being abusive to female staff. We were so Impressed with the professionalism of this hotel staff. We understand they had to eject some bad behaving guests, and those guests were not happy. I guess they discovered that poor actions have consequences. They deserved it. Adults drunk in the hallway holding beer cans letting the children rampage and then swearing at staff and demanding staff let them do whatever they want? These were Terrible people, who need parenting courses. The children need proper role models. Not drunken louts. After the staff did the right thing and ejected the drunks the hotel was excellent as usual and is such a quiet, clean, friendly and well run place. You can’t do better than either of these two hotels in Kitchener. Nothing else comes close.

During our stay for a youth sports tournament, a situation involving guests and children was handled in a way that showed a serious lack of judgment, compassion, and customer management skills. I would not recommend this location or the adjacent Double Tree (under the same management) for any families with young children. A hotel should feel safe, supportive, and professionally managed — unfortunately, that was not our experience. For those attending events in the area, the Courtyard by Marriott next door may be worth considering as an alternative.
