Hotels really need to invest in sound proofing the hallway. So many people making noise after quiet hours which was amplified in the halls. Also, if a window is public-facing, sound-proofing the window is also necessary. The noise isn't the hotel's fault (but rather, people without manners whose children also lack common courtesy after 11pm).
No email confirmation when I booked and nobody answered my call when I left a voicemail to confirm my reservation. This was almost a problem when I came to check in and found that my name was spelled horribly wrong (but the military rate is usually not communicated with online booking). I do like that they're dog-friendly, though the white sheets made me nervous because it was a muddy and rainy day.
The heater in the room kicked on around 7am and was quite loud/squeaky.
Perfect location, though, with lots of activities and beautiful waterfront and green space within immediate walking distance.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn and had an exceptionally pleasant experience from start to finish. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Check-in was quick and smooth, and I immediately felt welcomed.
My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-designed. The bed was incredibly cozy, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere—it made for a genuinely restful stay.
The hotel’s amenities were also excellent. The breakfast offered a great variety of fresh items, and the common areas were clean and inviting. I also loved how conveniently located the hotel was, making it easy to explore the area.
Overall, this was a truly delightful stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere.

Booked through the number in their website which is a third party booking service. The agreed upon price confirmed over the phone was nearly $500 less than I was charged.
The hotel was ZERO help and the booking agency has run me around in more circles than a dog with a limp.
Also, when I asked for a bittle of water from the front desk I was informed there not complimentary and would have to purchase more if I wanted some, or go fill up from the water machine beside the ice machine on my floor…. Which DIDNT EXIST when we got up there.
Pleasant but unprofessional.
One last thing, if you sleep lightly, bring ear plugs… the air unit in the room is louder than a 95 diesel truck cold starting in December.

Reserved a room via phone call directly to this hotel on Oct 20th for stay on Nov. 8th. My email was confirmed during call, guest service looked up my points membership (using my email) and said I would get 200 bonus points for this booking. I was given a confirmation # for the reservation. On Nov. 4th looked up reservation but had no luck ..used Live Chat to get assistance, that service agent confirmed that confirmation # did have a reservation using my credit card information but under someone else name in a hotel in the state of NY! They suggested i call the hotel directly- this was the most horrible experience of customer service I have ever experienced! The desk supervisor basically called me a liar and when I asked about the room booked under my credit card...she just refused to acknowledge this and told me that I should cancel my credit card! I asked for a number to make a formal complaint and was told "if you have no reservation you have no complaint" and that was the end of the phone call.

The hotel’s public reply to my earlier review is misleading.
At check-in, we clearly informed the front desk that we did not use or need the car park. We never entered the carpark, which can be verified by CCTV footage. Yet, the hotel still charged us twice for parking (CAD 33.90 × 2) and later admitted the mistake in writing.
They only refunded the charges after I escalated the case to IHG head office and posted two Google reviews — not before. Prior to that, all my emails and calls were ignored for weeks.
Instead of taking full responsibility, the hotel’s public reply now tries to distract from their own admitted errors. They tried to imply that I was obliged to pay. This experience shows extremely poor communication and accountability. Guests should double-check all charges carefully.
