The area is peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway, and the breakfast was such a great way to start the morning simple but so good. However, our recent stay at the Hampton Inn in Kingston, Ontario, was disappointing and did not meet the standards we have come to expect. Throughout our stay, the elevators were out of service, which caused significant inconvenience—especially during checkout, when we had to carry our luggage up and down the stairs multiple times. While I understand that technical issues can happen, what concerned me most was how the situation was handled. We had to request compensation ourselves, and then we were asked to submit the request in writing. The small credit offered was limited to the Kingston location, which is not ideal—other hotel chains have provided transferable credits in similar situations. In a competitive hospitality market, this approach to customer service and retention feels outdated. I hope management will consider this feedback as an opportunity to enhance the customer experience at this location.

Hampton Inn Kingston was not only clean, comfy, and situated near a peaceful walking path, Lisa at the front desk was SO welcoming, personal and helpful. After just a few moments, she made us feel like family!! Lisa gave us sights to see and things to do while in town AND she even helped us navigate difficult instructions of a card game we were playing in the café area!! Our stay gets 5 stars just because of Lisa...the rest is icing on the cake!! Thank you, Hampton. Thank you, Lisa
