  We went for an event and were left sorely disappointed. I do not recommend gluten free pizza. It's overpriced and came undercooked. Doughy and the crust was white. Not golden. The pizza arrived warm and after one slice it was cold. I believe it was undercooked. The top crust had a nice color , the cheese wasn't properly melted and under the pizza it was snow white. I didn't bother sending it back because I didn't want to put another clog in the wheel. I figured I'd bring it home and try to cook it and see if I could save it (I could not save it). Already it was 8:00 pm when I received our meals, and everybody was starving. We arrived at 6 pm thinking we'd eat sooner. Service was VERY slow and there were a lot of other people who had not received their meals. My kids were also taking a lot of my attention. Despite ordering the kids food long before the adults ordered, it took a very long time for their food to come out. I ate one slice, and waited till I got home to eat something better. The food that wasn't gluten free looked delicious. Everyone else loved the food they ate. They were obviously short staffed as people were trying to order and the staff were telling them to go over to the bar.... I can't recall the name I think it might have been something like Winners? It was the bar in the basement. Many people started going to the bar to place orders. Our family simply ordered less because staff were obviously overwhelmed. Service seemed very chaotic. Soups left on the busing tables in the hall as people walked by. Very close quarters and personally I was glad I didn't order the soup it looked cold when it arrived. It took a while for the salads to come after the soup so a lot of people were wondering if their orders were missed. Service wasn't timed right. There was some upset over the cake. We saw that part of it had been served, and I found a bunch of family members wandering around trying to figure out where the cake came from. Eventually we tracked down a server who began bringing the cake. By this point people were leaving and it was disappointing to see the cake missed. Perhaps it's because I've worked events but this was poorly organized and staffed. I believe better training and more staff would lead to a better event. The Staff themselves did the best they could with the situation they had. They were friendly and working hard when we saw them. We believe they didn't staff the event right. It took close to 40 minutes to get out bill after requesting it. We asked twice.

  What an amazing spot, the heritage in this place is astonishing, I hate how every hotel these days feels like cut and paste with boarding lobbys and architecture, but here is stained glass wooden brick beauty, I would come back just for the atmosphere not to mention very friendly staff!!
