11/23/2025 @ 11:00am. The young woman argued with me at checkout about my inability to figure out how to use their shower faucet! She was extremely rude and condescending. At 9:45am I had a freezing cold shower and she insisted they didn’t run out of hot water but that I didn’t know how to work the faucet! My partner had a “warm” shower at 7:30am and had learned all the weird tricks of this ridiculous shower faucet and he shared these idiosyncrasies with me. Still no hot water. She argued with me that it was my fault that I didn’t let the water run long enough and “figure out” the tricky faucet BUT she insisted they didn’t run out of hot water and it was all my fault that I had a cold shower. I said if the faucet is this “tricky” then maybe some written instructions would be helpful. Oh and the towels were very scratchy and rough.

Great experience here. It was very quiet on the fourth floor where our room was. Dog friendly, especially with how quiet the hallways were. Very comfortable rooms. Good coffee in the lobby!

I figured with the Hilton's good reputation that this place would be better than it was. The room itself was nice but smaller than Im used to at this price point for sure. No free continental breakfast. No free drink tickets at the bar, the internet was horribly slow and I booked here to get lawyers meetings accomplished that their net wasn't capable of speeds required for zoom meetings. Talked to management about it and they tried to fix it but the internet just kept signing me in under the room repeatedly with no way to reset it. Pet peeve was I was woken up by cleaning staff because there wasn't a do not disturb sign in the room to put on the door. The Manager knew I was frustrated my first day as I explained the issues. Very severely to the point I'll never come back to this one and most Hilton's I go to are run far better. The Home2 Suits in Kitchener could show this place a thing or two. There was someone else's milk cartons from a month before left in the fridge, and their bacon mayo from Presidents Choice. The price for domestic beer at the restaurant/bar is $9 so $10 or $11 with tip to watch the world series most of the food was pricey. Breakfast is continental in the morning, and you pay roughly $16 per person when most in the area offer a free continental breakfast. Size of TV was good and good quality picture inn the room. Microwave size in the room is very small. small bar fridge. The bathtub won't allow the water to cover your whole body. The water pressure for the shower heads (2 shower heads as one was removable with an unchangeable weak stream) was very low in the room I was in. The pet fee here is $75 if you stay one day but you can stay up to 4 days without paying more so bringing your furry friend is profiteering for the Hilton but most of the Hiltons are bad for this rule....some are worse and do $100 but of course allow for 5 days instead like at the Home2 and Realtree in Kitchener...lol....but they do give you a sign to let the staff know the pet is inside stating "be prepared for cuteness ." Now on the up side...the rooms I was in was very clean. The staff was friendly and decent, and tried to help with the internet but I had to check in for my second nights stay twice and was given an obserd amount of entry cards so not perfect. The beds were above average comfortable. The room was equipped with ironing board, iron, Hair Dryer, above average soaps shampoos and body lotion that's typical in the Hilton a single night table between two beds, a comfy chair with foot rest to sit in, a desk and not so comfortable desk chair. I'd actually recommend going to the Comfort Inn around the corner if you have a dog especially because of the sliding door access to the outside and the free breakfast for a far more price friendly stand point at 20 a night for your pet increase and 1/4 to 1/2 the overall room price and similar quality. You get 10w fast charging plug over there too instead of just the PS2 plugs and the internet speed is tripple the speed what it was here. The only thing they have here they don't there is the pool, workout room and laundry machines (the dryer was well used and made lots of belt noise...the price for laundry was reasonable at $2 a load and $2 a dry). Lots of restaurants and a Walmart across the road for amenities here.
