I recently stayed at this hotel, and had the privilege of meeting the general manager, Shelley. Until meeting Shelley, who went out of her way to offer her precious time to assist us during our stay, it was difficult to believe that there are still some good people in this world. There certainly is, and Shelley is just one of them. Talk of kindness, diligence, understanding, empathy, reasonableness, friendliness and discretion, she tick all the boxes. Thanks again for your kind assistance Shelley.
Melanie was equally friendly, she offered assistance when it was needed. Thank you.
I also met Brian who manages the hotel bar. He is a lively, very friendly and approachable gentleman. You couldn't be bored in the hotel when you have the opportunity to chat with helpful Brian. Thanks Brian.
Surprisingly, I met my good friend Mariam at this hotel. I had lost contact with her for a couple of years due to the loss of my phone and change of number. I did ask for Mariam at her former work place, but I was told she no longer work there and I had no idea of her new work place, until I met her again at this hotel. Guess what? Mariam kindly offered assistance that was needed in this hotel. How could I have imagined that I would come in contact with Mariam at this hotel, and to offer me the help that I needed? As they say, the world is indeed a small place. My advise is to treat people right and or nicely in life because you never know when or where you could come in contact. As always, Mariam is a friendly, peaceful, quiet character and you can count on her diligence and kind assistance wherever possible.
In terms of the hotel itself, it is only about 3 years old and very clean, while the location is also easily accessible and well within a few minutes walk or short drive to shops and other local services. The rooms are very comfortable and it is a safe environment.
I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Burlington on Appleby Line from January 15-17. Our room was on the 6th floor. During our stay, several kids hockey teams also had booked rooms as well, which led to quite an unpleasant stay.
Throughout the day on both days kids were running up and down the halls yelling, playing hockey. and treating the hotel like their own personal playground...with obvious disregard and lack of consideration for other guests, and the hotel itself (ice was thrown everywhere around the elevator area). While at the same time, the parents were no where to be seen - they were either in their rooms or downstairs in the dining area, leaving their kids on their own. This is obviously not acceptable.
It would be nice if upon booking a room, potential guests could be warned if large, potentially disruptive parties, are staying at the hotel during the booking dates, so that people get a chance to consider other options if possible. If that is not possible, the hotel needs to take greater responsibility in holding irresponsible parents accountable for the actions of their children.
We called the front desk a couple of times to inform them of what was happening, but that did not seem to deter the actions from ceasing. Maybe better enforce a rule that parents are not allowed to leave their kids unattended. Or remind people that hallways are public spaces and to be considerate of other guests, with appropriate repercussions.
I really do think that the hotel can and should do a better job of curtailing the inappropriate and inconsiderate behaviour of other guests, and having an effective plan in place when something does happen.
