  You know how most hotel room doors are very heavy and they will just shut right behind you after you let go of the door? My specific door in this room did not close like that. I realized this when I checked in. I thought I had closed my door, but it just was shy of an inch to be actually closed. The next day, I came back to my hotel in the afternoon, and not only was my key not working, my door was left open... (from the cleaners)? This is quite literally my biggest fear when staying at hotels as a solo traveller. I pushed on my door, and it opened..... while I was out for the entire day. Luckily, all of my belongings were untouched. Again, the door 'appeared' to be closed, so I got lucky with there being no theft or safety issue. However, it is absolutely the cleaners responsibility to make sure they close the door behind them, and not rely on the heaviness of the door to close for them! They are renovating the lobby so that means you should be in for a beautiful upgrade very soon! The rooms are decently clean. The bathroom shower head was really outdated, should be replaced. The bathroom caulking was worn / old, but other than that, the room seemed clean.

  We spent a good night in this hotel, tasty breakfast, coffee/tea non stop. Cozy swimming pool and gym. And very pleasant receptionist 🙂 Recommended! 👍

  Terrible and I can't even get a refound. Worse stay ever. Shower was broken, construction was going on. Most of the hotel was closed. The pool had a layer of scum on the surface. It obviously hadden been cleaned in a very long time. I already gave my review and yet you want another review from me. Like some how I'm going to change my mind. Concrete building. It felt more like a prison.

  Only gave 4/5 stars because of the inconvenience of construction but once it’s done, easily a 5/5. As of April 11.2026, this hotel is under construction in the main lobby area, so entrance is a side entrance. Explains why we got such a GREAT deal on our one night stay here! Overall a very clean nice place to stay. Convenient because it is right off the 401 fwy.

  Thane did a great job making sure breakfast was a success and making you feel welcomed. I appreciate his hospitality as not many individuals do this or are friendly in general. It was nice to see. The Front desk was friendly and welcoming and the room was kept meticulously clean and comfortable. It had no issues to speak of. I would stay here again if passing through brockville and recommend anyone else passing by or just needing to stop for the night to give this holiday inn a look!
