- BSBaby Shark6 days ago1.0Our stay at Holiday Inn Express Belleville (Jan 1–4, 2026) was disappointing. We were part of a youth hockey team and understand the challenges of hosting groups, but the handling of our stay was unacceptable. On Jan 2, we were approached by security and told to leave the common area because it was 11 PM. After we questioned the reasoning, a staff member abruptly shut off the lights and yelled that the area was closed. This approach was unnecessarily aggressive and unprofessional. After raising these concerns in writing, the GM responded with a canned reply that did not address the staff behavior and instead defended their policies by citing issues with past guests. Future guests should not be unreasonably treated due to the transgressions of past guests. Furthermore, additional parts of the response made it seem like our letter wasn’t even read. If you’re traveling with a team or group, I strongly recommend avoiding this property. The policies are excessive, the staff training is lacking, and management does not take guest concerns seriously.

Though they are very strict on quiet time curfew and kicked out parents from the lobby despite the parents being quiet and respectful.

Parents enjoying some quiet time late at night were kicked out of the lobby as hotel enforced their quiet time after 11pm. Though parents were being respectful and quiet so just fair warning.

If you're granted room 315 (and most probably the rooms on the third floor), one advice: check if the noise thing was fixed!

After a very long and stressful drive and a request that my room have a comfortable chair to knit in, they upgraded me to a complimentary suite. I am thrilled by this extra thoughtful offering. Cassandra then followed up with a courtesy call to ask if all was satisfactory. Kudos to you and your wonderful staff!
