The hotel is what it claims to be. Great extras like the breakfast and the staff especially Jason the house person who went above and beyond for us.

We had an awesome stay! Our hockey team stayed her for their tournament. The facilities were ideal and Jason who worked around the hotel was so helpful, patient, and hospitable! It's always busy when teams go to the hotel, but his approach was warm, clear, and welcoming! Would definitely stay here again!

We had to cancel our 2-night stay (gave more than 72 hours’ notice) and were still charged $289. Wouldn’t recommend this place for sports teams — kids get sick, family emergencies happen, and this hotel doesn’t seem to care. Zero stars

TLDR; great place to stay for a hockey team
Our U13 team stayed here recently for a tournament. Although on the smaller side, the hotel was top tier in many parents' minds. The staff were phenomenal with the kids. There is a decent-sized grassy area at the back where the kids could run around and play. We took advantage of the nicer weather to have a team BBQ in that area as well, and the staff was fully supportive. This allowed the parents (and kids) somewhere to assemble and hang out without worry of disturbing other patrons at the hotel.
The parking lot doesn't seem to have enough parking spots to account for a full hotel, which is the one downside. We didn't encounter any issues, although we did see some people parking in the lot next door, which was a very reasonable distance. The breakfast area is on the smaller side, but well equipped with a variety of hot foods. Several of the kids took advantage of the pool, and no complaints from that end either.
The rooms were spacious. Beds were comfortable. A variety of pillows provided (soft/firm). Everything in our unit worked well. Only downside was an obnoxious squealing sound from the shower, but in light of everything else this was easy to overlook. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained.
Location - you couldn't ask for better. Easy to find, easy to get to, and a variety of stores and restaurants within walking distance.
Overall, if we had another hockey tournament to attend in Barrie, this would likely be our top choice.
