This hotel is one of those places that almost tricks you into thinking everything is fine. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. On paper, this should have been an easy, forgettable stay.
And then the hotel started revealing its true personality: one of the two elevators was out the entire time we were there, and staff casually explained that this is apparently a common occurrence. Nothing says “hospitality” quite like a recurring mechanical failure delivered with the calm resignation of people who’ve clearly had this same conversation far too many times.
Still, even that probably would not have pushed me into writing a review. Hotels have issues. Elevators break. Life goes on.
What finally sent me over the edge was the so-called “marketplace,” which feels less like a convenience offering and more like a case study in corporate penny-pinching. Specifically, the microwaved pizza. I understand what I am signing up for when I buy pizza from a hotel lobby. I am not expecting artisan dough, hand-pulled mozzarella, or a spiritual experience. But if you are charging me $8.99 for a microwaved personal pizza, I do expect something at least vaguely comparable to the frozen garbage tier available at any random grocery store.
What I got instead was so aggressively cheap, so insultingly low-rent, that it felt less like food and more like a boardroom decision. You could practically taste the spreadsheet. This was not pizza made for human enjoyment. This was pizza selected by someone whose only measurable skill is shaving three more cents off unit cost while calling it “guest value.” It had the texture of damp cardboard, the flavor profile of melted regret, and the kind of cheese that makes you wonder whether the FDA has simply stopped taking calls.
That is what makes this place so annoying: the hotel itself is perfectly decent, which only makes the cheapness more obvious. They are not failing because they cannot do better. They are failing because somewhere along the line, somebody made a conscious decision to squeeze every possible penny out of the food offerings and assume guests would just shrug and eat it. That kind of deliberate corner-cutting is somehow more offensive than general incompetence.
So here is my review: the hotel is fine, the staff is kind, the rooms are comfortable, and the elevator situation is embarrassingly normal for them. But the “marketplace” food is such a blatant exercise in minimum-effort profiteering that it transformed an otherwise acceptable stay into one fueled by spite. If you stay here, eat literally anywhere else. Even a gas station has more self-respect.

Great staff. Always very clean. I would just make one suggestion for the Holiday inn Express in downtown Tulsa Oklahoma. For the customer parking put a sign where the parking garage is that says" Holiday inn parking". And that would solve a lot of confusion. Thank you Holiday inn Express you have a great hotel.

This is located in downtown Tulsa. They have a parking garage that they charge like $19 for. Something they don't tell you when you book it. It's an added cost. The room is clean and nice though a little cold. The thermostat didn't work. Had to run it from the actual unit in the window. They only gave two K-Cups for coffee and one of them was decaf. Staff was friendly. Facilities were clean. Price was a little on the high side for Holiday inn Express

Uno de los mejores de la cadena, céntrico yuchos restaurantes cerca, acceso inmediato a la autopista, parqueo seguro, la comida siempre será muy mala y repetitiva en toda la cadena, l mismo de siempre aburre.
