The 19-story Tulsa hotel was the tallest building in Oklahoma when first built, and the only place with ice-cold tap water and rooms with ceiling fans. The distinctive Sullivanesque style, Art Deco-era hotel instantly became a high society hub in Tulsa, the Oil Capital of the World. Oil tycoons such as J Paul Getty conducted business deals in the lobby and celebrity guests such as Babe Ruth, Charles Lindbergh, Lucille Ball and President John F. Kennedy danced in the Crystal Ballroom.

Valet was amazing! Samuel and the guy he was working with on 11/20 was great. 1925 was also an incredible dinner experience that I won't forget

I had a unbelievably fantastic experience at the Mayo Hotel due to the attention and caring of Michael Culvert, a valet driver and Maria Pogue, the receptionist. I flew down from Minneapolis Minnesota to pick up and drive back a 2022 Corvette. Tuesday morning after Michael pulled it up from valet, I went to start it and it would not start. Michael got his truck complete with a set of jumper cables and jump started my Corvette. I attempted to put the car into gear, but it would not go forward or reverse. I called/texted the 800 # from Chevrolet to arrange a tow, when Maria came out and said she had used chat GPT to research the problem and there was a procedure to reset the transmission modules after jump starting a 2022 Corvette. After five minutes of waiting, it worked and I was able to drive the 713 miles back to Minnesota. The icing on the cake was when Michael followed up with a phone call an hour later to ensure everything was OK. The willingness to help, the creativity and how much Michael and Maria cared was unbelievable! How fortunate the Mayo Hotel is to have such outstanding employees! The next time I am in Tulsa I will definitely be staying there!

Sent my office manger to Tulsa. Confirmed with front desk that it was ok she checks in and uses my card for purchases. She gets there to check in and they treated her terribly and would not give her the room. Called me about some form I need to fill out after paying for room online. Been staying there on the suites for 7 years when I come up for my businesses and will never go back. When the front desk English was as broken as the situation please understand you don’t treat your returning customers with such disrespect

I was excited to stay at The Mayo with my dad on our cross-country trip. My great-grandparents stayed there, so this was meant to be special. I called 5 hours ahead to confirm a 2-bed room, but we arrived in the pouring rain at 2:30 AM to no 2-bed rooms and were pushed into paying much more for a suite with a pull-out couch. The room was beautiful, but the service was shockingly poor. The bedding was dropped off without the pull-out being made, and when I asked the staff member where I could get a drink of water from a vending machine or if there was a convenience store nearby, he just looked at me said “I don’t know.” and walked out. That interaction was unacceptable and left a really negative impression. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless they train their employees how to be appropriate.

This hotel is perfectly located for walking to events at BOK center and downtown events. It's is beautiful inside lobby and old school type bar. The rooms look really nice with big bathroom and shower. The beds are very creaky and not super comfortable. Also didn't like the construction starting at 7:30am outside our window. Wine bottle openers and good coffee in room. Fridge and microwave. Not enough outlet options for multiple people.
