The check in experience was horrible. It took about 45 minutes to get checked into the hotel and then they didn't have any room keys. We had to wait for someone to take us to our room everytime we needed back in. The room itself was very nice, clean, and spacious. The check out was easy. I did get charged for the room after I had already paid for it through hotels.com. I assumed it was just an "incidental" charge and that it would not actually be charged. It has now been 2 weeks and it is still charged on my card. I have called them 3 times. The first 2 times they told me they would get it taken care of. The third time she said I wasn't charged for a room and it takes 15-20 days for it to be refunded. I expected the incidental fee. I didn't expect it to take almost a month for it to be refunded to my account. I have never stayed at a hotel where it took this long. Usually it is a pending charge and by Monday or Tuesday after checking out on a Sunday the pending charge is gone. As nice as the hotel was, I will not be staying here again because of the hassle with the keys and the charges.

I am extremely disappointed in this Hilton hotel. Walking down the hall to our room, it smelled like mildew and sewer. We got to our room, with the AC COMPLETELY out of the wall. Knocked down coffee pot and cups. We had to request a new room. All for them to put us 1 room over, down the same smelly hallway. Once in that room, and unpacked....they only provided us with 1 towel. 1 towel for the room. I had to request for more towels. Then, all the dispensers with shampoo and soap were empty. Along with the lotion bottle dispenser. We were traveling for a cheer competition. As a single mom, it was beyond frustrating to pay $$ for a hotel that was a HUGE disappointment. The only great thing about our stay here was the Valet people. They were kind and even tho they were busy, they still gave us the best service. To say Im highly disappointed with this hotel would be an understatement.

I was present at the facility last night, on November 8th into November 9th, and I found the experience to be extremely disappointing. I arrived at 5:00 PM but did not receive access to my room until approximately 6:00 PM, due to a lengthy wait caused by issues with my digital key card.
At the front desk, I encountered a staff member named Kendra, who was dressed in black and red. Unfortunately, her conduct was both rude and unpleasant, which significantly contributed to an unfavorable experience.
Given this encounter, I am reluctant to return to this establishment. If the management wishes to retain members, it is advisable to consider her removal, as her behavior is detrimental to the business and inconsistent with the standards expected from a honors member.
Additionally, I did not receive any recognition or benefits associated with my membership during this visit.

The staff including including manager was so rude and disrespectful. The hotel ran out of door keys and the app was not working properly so digital keys were not available either. Staff was so rude as customers were truly frustrated because we could not get in our rooms as we checked in and paid. The staff eventually was walking people up to their room and letting them in but if u left I would need to be let back in which was ridiculous. There were 2 black girls (and just know I’m black myself so it’s no racism involved)working and was a disgrace to customer service. The other extremely rude lady was a red headed lady. I wish I would have gotten their actual names. Attitude’s were nasty as they could be. Management was frustrated and was rude and just walked away from desk and went to back to avoid all the frustration. There was only 1 lady name Sara that seem to be able to keep it together. I will never return to this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. It was horrible and the customer service was horrible. Staff is nasty and very unprofessional as I watched them talk so nasty to many customers. Corporate will definitely receive many calls and possibly horrible reviews from Saturday (11/08/2025 )night. I have used Hilton hotels for years and have never experienced anything like this. This situation total ruined my grandsons 15 birthday and I will never forget this as I’m sure he won’t either.
(2.5-3/5 stars)– Clean, safe, and friendly, but missing that special touch
The front desk staff were very friendly and professional, which set a great tone right away. The lobby was clean and nicely kept, and although it was simple, it did feel a bit upscale. Everything looked tidy and organized, and that level of care carried through to the room.
Our room was extremely clean honestly one of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. The view from the upper floor was lovely, and the Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries were a nice surprise. The pillows were soft and comfortable, and while the bed itself was good quality, it was a bit too firm for my liking. Maintenance responded quickly when our heater wasn’t working one morning, and that was handled right away.
I also appreciated the extra layer of security. You have to swipe your room key in the elevator to access your floor, which made me feel safe during our stay.
There are some areas that could use improvement. Our key didn’t work when we first checked in, and it took about 45 minutes to get into our room. The porter service wasn’t available since all the staff were busy with a large group that had just arrived. The air conditioning didn’t cool very well, which made the room uncomfortable, annd decidedly left early because of it. There wasn’t any hand soap provided. The mini fridge didn’t have a freezer section either. Breakfast and parking both cost extra, and the snack market was convenient but on the pricey side.
While the hotel is pet-friendly, there’s hardly any grass outside for pets. The area is mostly concrete and lacks greenery or outdoor décor, so it’s not really a walkable or relaxing space to step out and unwind. And there is only one way in and out (that we found) so taking our pups out discreetly was not an option (to not bother other guests).
If I had one bigger suggestion, it would be to add a little more warmth and atmosphere to the experience. Maybe soft background music or a live pianist in the lobby, or even small touches in the room that make guests feel special when they walk in. The hotel is clean and professional, but it feels a bit too businesslike and could use something that gives it personality and charm.
Overall, DoubleTree Tulsa Downtown is clean, safe, and run by friendly staff but with a few changes to comfort, ambiance, and amenities, it could become the kind of place guests genuinely look forward to coming back to.
