  I checked in on a Friday. There was a handwritten note taped to the mirror above sink that read housekeeping comes every other day. Okay, didnt like that much, for the price I paid ($200/night) but I thought okay not a big deal. Well by Sunday we needed towels, toilet paper and trash emptied. I went by front desk and inquired about housekeeping. I was told that since I checked in on friday I wouldn't get housekeeping til Monday. The day I check out! But she did give me towels and toilet to take back to my room and told me where to take my trash. Sure enough as I was packing to leave Monday morning housekeeping knocked on my door to ask if I needed anything. Oh and the hotel was not busy, at all, (now I see why) so that's not an excuse. I only saw 4 cars in the parking lot my whole stay. Only ever saw one family there in passing. My room was fine and the A/C did work but made a very loudrattling noise. But thankfully it didnt quit. Not a good experience at all. If you check in on friday why make me wait for housekeeping services until the morning I check out?!

  Our hotel stay and subsequent correspondence with management and ownership has been a total disappointment. Our family arrived late at night using digital check-in to the hotel. The room we were assigned did not have working lights in the bathroom or entry. We contacted the front desk and were assigned a second room. Upon entering the second room, we were unable to adjust the room temperature. We finally were given a third room (approximately midnight at this point) where we discovered some of the outlets on the counter and nightstand did not work and several of the USB ports were broken and punched out. We decided to make due as it was very late and our kids needed to go to sleep however it was still an inconvenience as I have a breathing machine and had to search for an alternate outlet to plug it into that was several feet away from the bed. Additionally, the vanity light in the bathroom was on the fritz giving off very light light and the hair dryer was broken. Finally, when using the restroom at 9am the next morning, housekeeping tried to enter the room despite having the tag on the door outside. When checking out, I expressed my concerns to the front desk to which they indicated they would pass my concerns on to management and ownership. I asked that someone from their team contact me and that I receive a refund of my points used to book the room. It is three days later and I still have not had any contact with management or ownership of the hotel. I did receive a credit of 1500 points back to my Hilton Honors card. However this is a significant disappointment as I used 27,000 points plus cash to book the room. Considering we had to switch rooms twice and the third room still had significant deficiencies, I had hoped for a significant refund due to the inconveniences we experienced during our stay. I'm not a significant Hilton Honor's member. Our family does not travel a ton. But when we do, we have generally tried to stay at Hilton properties as we have almost always had great experiences with our stays. This experience and the lack of response or appropriate action from management or ownership of the hotel has soured my impression of this experience. We will not be staying at the Ponca City Hampton Inn ever again.
