Turn the fan on (not auto) if you struggle with noises. The indoors bar/restaurant is actually very big and nice. The staff were very kind. Parking is a little awkward but the location was great for quick on and off interstate.

U have to pay extra for breakfast. The smoke detectors went off at 5:30am. Then they have happy hour. On Saturday they don't offer it. There's a little sign that informs u if u come in on the right side... not the left side!! And then when I asked if this is part of the happy hour..she said "YES", but what she didn't inform me was, it's not on Saturday evening!! So when we got our bill... let's just say her tip was less!! A lot less!!

First-time 1-star. Where do I start? I've been an IHG member and always had good experiences or service, all over the world, even if there's issues.
I realize this is an isolated event and yet totally want vindication.
Let's set the stage with a birthday weekend away from kids and pets and just a dinner out and a quiet night. Booked with points no problem.
First, the key we were given for our room wouldn't work. We tried it 7 ways til Sunday and no green light. We went back to the elevator and downstairs to get a new key and the receptionist went up to the room to check it. She opened the door and jerked back in shock and said someone was already in the room! We turned to walk away and out of the room shot a woman asking if they were trying to give us her room. The receptionist just snuck away embarrassed and said nothing.
Then we were given keys to a new room. At first, the key didn't work either, but security in this hotel is tight, so you just had to stand on one foot and put it 3/4 of the way in and take it out quickly, then insert it the entire way and then jerk it out in a nonosecond, then repeat several times and it opened. We walked in and the whole room wreaked like bacon. We had dinner reservations and dropped our luggage. The room was a bit muggy, so we turned the thermostat down, then went to dinner.
We came back and realized the room had gotten hotter. We thought we possibly didn't set it right, so we made sure it was on cool. Meanwhile, the bathroom sink trap was leaking all over the washcloths on the shelf under it, but we're able to rough it without, so we cleaned it up, pushed the trap up tight and while we waited for the room to cool off we went to check out the pool and hot tub.
It was probably nice, but there were several kids in the hot tub so we decided we would wait. We got back to our room and it was another degree hotter.
At that point we packed up and went downstairs and asked for a new room. The night receptionist said they were fully booked and we could call maintenance and wait, so we decided to go home.
The entire experience was strange and cost us for boarding our pets and kids and gas to drive. We requested a refund and were told they couldn't do it, we had to call to get our points back, which we did. Hotel seemed nice, good location, wish we could've stayed and enjoyed it. Other than having our name on a sign when we came in, our Elite status had ZERO perks and we were just told "sorry."

Stayed for a week for a horse show, my room was never cleaned and upon telling front desk i was told i have to “request” housekeeping, after my booking price and real price was almost triple, no heads up or warning until the charge came in
