Most importantly, the hotel was clean and very quiet, which allowed for a good night's sleep. The common areas and my suite were well-maintained. Where this hotel falls short is in its customer service. The front desk staff had a consistently impersonal and disinterested attitude. At least one other reviewer identified the same issue/concern. Check-in was transactional, with no warmth or welcome. One of the disinterested and indifferent front desk staff, (an employee whose name started with a "Z") wasn't even wearing a name badge—I had to ask for her name, which didn't inspire confidence. The physical property offers a solid, comfortable experience. However, the lack of engaging service from the front desk makes it feel like just another anonymous hotel. It was fine for a short stay, but the indifferent staff prevents me from being excited to return. A 3 out of 5 feels right—it’s not bad, but it’s not great either.

My main criticism is of the initial welcome at check-in. This was impersonal and disinterested. Having stayed at a number of Hampton Inns on this Route 66 trip, experiencing great, genuine welcoming service, we have really noticed that this has been lacking at the Tulsa and Oklahoma IHG venues (here and Holiday Inn Express). Constructive criticism hopefully.

Check with all the names of the people we were with all numbers we had even the agents name, nothing. So had to drive 4 hours on top of the 8 we had just drove. Next day I checked, they had charged me $615 for reservations and not refunded, I had my agent contact and we got it back, but come to find out there was a convention in town and they sold our rooms (showed up at 8:00pm) ( gave 4 stars for the room on the word of the super friendly guest who said they were nice and tried to help us) Also not great neighborhood surrounding, stay elsewhere.
