I am moving across country and got a but disoriented trying to find a hotel off the hwy, had driven from Iowa!! I called and Mia answered all my questions over the phone. I then checked in not needing a beautiful extended stay but I was exhausted. My key didn't work in the room but Mia immediately put me in another one and offered to come upstairs if needed. She was SO sweet, as was Stefani in the morning who went above and beyond printing out directions for the next "leg" of my final destination of Scottsdale Azizona. The room was beautiful, and spotlessly clean. I got a great night's sleep and heard NO noise from the highway or other guests. One man's young children were playing with the coffee stirrers, ALL of them at the front desk as Dad smiled as they ran around ! I love children but the lack of supervision when I worked at the Courtyard was my biggest stresser. Breakfast was delicious!! I doubt I will be back in OC but if so I will stay with you again! Btw you have an awsome basketball team!! 🏀 Garrett O, I know how much it takes to manage a large hotel, you are doing a great job! Most importantly, the hotel was clean and very quiet, which allowed for a good night's sleep. The common areas and my suite were well-maintained. Where this hotel falls short is in its customer service. The front desk staff had a consistently impersonal and disinterested attitude. At least one other reviewer identified the same issue/concern. Check-in was transactional, with no warmth or welcome. One of the disinterested and indifferent front desk staff, (an employee whose name started with a "Z") wasn't even wearing a name badge—I had to ask for her name, which didn't inspire confidence. The physical property offers a solid, comfortable experience. However, the lack of engaging service from the front desk makes it feel like just another anonymous hotel. It was fine for a short stay, but the indifferent staff prevents me from being excited to return. A 3 out of 5 feels right—it’s not bad, but it’s not great either.
