went in to to get checked into the hotel room saturday, tonight, booked online and pay there. all was well until the card declined. at first no biggie! we unlocked the card, tried, then put the correct amount and tried, it charged, and THEN it was said to be denied again but took the money out. i paid almost $200 for a room for one night for my sister and i. However he said that because it charged and then dropped that the money wasn’t going to go back into the account on monday since it’s saturday i would need to put down a different card for ANOTHER $200. That he cant make the keys without payment. i understand that i will get that first charge back on the following monday, but i DONT have ANOTHER $200 on my card. They also couldnt take the cash i had. he said this is something that has happened before and we got the manager on the phone and the front desk person confirmed with the manager (he’s talking in front of us) to give us the room and gives us a card authorization form to charge the card on monday. so the keys can be made without payment?? He then walks to the back still on the phone, comes back, takes the form back and says that i’ll have to have another card and another payment to have the room. He said it was because it was a cashapp card and that it only lets you charge it a certain amount of days after. I don’t know why they didn’t let me know this when they saw i was using the card if it’s been an issue before, i could’ve moved the money my (only) other card so there wasn’t an issue in the first place. but i’ve never had any other problems like this with my card at other hotels or businesses. i can completely understand that it isn’t the front desk fault that it happened but what i can’t understand is how there wasn’t any other solution from them or the manager. Even though they gave us the form first. i couldn’t fill out the form on another card so the money could be moved to that one once it came back, banks were closed so i couldn’t deposit the cash. and i couldn’t give them the cash i had even if it was a one time thing. I was going to have to pay another $200 that i didn’t have or i don’t get the room. i left with almost $200 less and didn’t have anywhere to go. THANKFULLY i was able to find a hotel that was nearby and that was willing to work with us and the situation, and we’re able to get a room and stay somewhere for the night. it’s just crazy that a solution couldn’t have been come to since it wasn’t just a “declined” situation and i could move the money and use my other card, but instead it took the money out and then went pending- i didn’t have an extra $200 to spend on my card.

I have stayed at this location many times over the last 6 or 7 years. The level of service and the condition of the building has slowly declined.....

The night desk lady named Tresa/ Theresa was very courteous, friendly and helpful. She helped make our stay enjoyable. She answered any questions we had and didn't make us feel as if she was rushing us or blowing us off

I’m done with Hilton. This place is obviously not Hilton owned. It’s not new like it says on its website. It’s dirty everywhere. You can’t see out of the windows because they’re so smeared and dirty. Upholstery is stained and dirty. Internet usage is spotty. Only one elevator operating. Phone in room didn’t work. Several outlets in the room didn’t work. Stay away from the breakfast bar. It’s nasty and the worst I’ve ever seen. Spills and messes not cleaned up. Carpets throughout are dirty and stained. Outrageously overpriced as well.

Well, certainly not what I expected from a Hampton Inn. The staff at check in was condescending. The room itself was fine. The night went by quietly however whre did they borrow their bath towels from? The Super 8 doen the road. Not the plush towels of days gone by. I've seen better towels at Walmart. For me, at least in this hotel, Hampton Inn has gone down from past visits...
