I had no issues, and when something came up the hotel was very quick to change whatever I needed pretty quickly, the food was nice, and the staff was quick in greeting me on my way in and on my way out. Very happy and if I come back, would stay here for my own preference.

I feel obligated to dog on this after my experience mid-stay due to how bad it's been.
I came here after my PCS with my wife and two children. Availability here is scarce because trainees book it all up many months in advance (I tried booking in May for end of July and it was booked through September). so I could only get 1 week at the last minute because somebody else must've cancelled. This was after spending a week at the holiday inn off base (much better service there btw). but I have to find another hotel for the remainder of my allowed temporary lodging time (another week).
Let me just break it down. I'm only on night three;
First two nights: a/c was broken. It's averaging like 100° this week so let that sink in. I called the front desk on the first night, they just say sorry nothing they can do until maintenance arrives in the morning, and offered two tiny like 6 inch fans (that we had to drive to the other building to pick up). Next day we wake up early and head to our new house to prep it before hhg arrives. When we arrive back to the hotel at around 8pm, the a/c was still broken. I call the desk and they said maintenance said they came and completed the job, so somebody is lying. They offered to schedule it again the following morning. Next morning the maintenance did arrive and fix the a/c units and to his credit he was very kind and did a good job.
Third night: this was the first day for house cleaning, I think they will only come twice during this stay. Well the cleaners showed up while I was at my new house getting it ready for HHG to arrive. But when we got back to the hotel at 9pm, we had no sheets, pillow cases, blankets, towels or trash bags in the room. I called the front desk, and they said I had to come to the front desk to pick up replacements and make all the beds myself. Mind you my hotel room is down the street and I had to drive there myself then do everything the cleaners were supposed to do, because my kids were bouncing off the walls and needed to go to sleep asap.
Note: not once did anyone here offer ANYTHING (except the two useless fans), let alone a sincere apology, for these issues. The least they could do is offer some IHG points but not even that. It's just oh okay well they can come back in the morning. That's it. This place needs to change. It's not up to holiday inn standards and certainly not appropriate for a holiday that entirely for service members and their families.
Sidenote: While I was at the front desk picking up my blankets and everything, another man and his pregnant wife (looked like she was nearing the end of her third trimester) were complaining that their a/c was also broken. Since it's fully booked because of course trainees from West point take precedence, they were told nothing they could do but wait for maintenance tomorrow; obviously for the safety of the mother and her baby they had no choice but to cancel the reservation and try to find a hotel in Lawton after 10pm. Unreal. They too were offered nothing in return except a sorry.
Needless to say, 1 star for service.
the old room isn't all that bad for a family yet the kitchen has exactly nothing to cook with despite a stove, and no utensils or cups either. Two rooms and a living room all have tv's so that's nice. Both my kids got their own bed due to the pullout sofa mattress. I give it 2 stars for the room even tho the ac was broken for two days.
Location is on base where it's supposed to be. So at least there's that. 5 stars for location 🥴👍
I added a photo of how my room looked when I got back to it. The cleaners did leave a random blanket hanging from a door so that's cool I guess. Yeah solid 1 star for service.

Stayed here for Tour of the Wichitas bicyle race. My room was clean. I was able to ride to the starting line from the hotel. Price was very reasonable and breakfast was great. Only complaint was that A/C would not cool any lower than 77. I tried turning down the thermostat and it would go back to 77. Made it hard to sleep comfortable.
