  I had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Markita Inn Motel and couldn’t be happier with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely friendly, making check-in quick and easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and well cared for, providing exactly what I needed for a relaxing stay. Everything felt thoughtfully maintained, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere that made it easy to rest after a long day. The bed was comfortable, and the room had all the essentials to feel like a home away from home. What really stood out was the excellent customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was pleasant, and it truly made a difference.   The desk clerk was so rude I wouldnt bother, there are other hotels within a mile from it.

  Worst front desk service we have ever had. The concierge was not at the desk all day we called multiple times no answer and when we got here to check in the office was empty. Us and a sweet elderly couple waited and called the manager for 25 minutes before anyone showed up. At checkout we also waited about 20 minutes because there was nobody at the front desk and no drop off box for room keys. If we ever stay here again it will only be if they replace the front manager or actually hire one because who they have managing the front is never there.

  The room is okay and is for the most part clean. I feel like I was ripped off tho. I saw online the price for my room for members was $88 and I was charged the non member rate for $94. $108 after tax. When I approached him about it, he said there were three different types of king size handicap rooms?? Online it only shows handicap accessible king rooms were $88 before tax for members/$94 for non members (which I am a member), but he charged the non member rate. I am not handicap. He just said it's all they had available. All king rooms were $79-$84 for members. However I had no choice but to get a handicap accessible room since they were sold out apperantly. I should of atleast been charged the member rate advertised for that said room. That isn't the biggest deal in the world but after telling me there was no security deposit at all. He saw I was paying with a chime credit card and told me that it would be a deposit because it's a prepaid/gift card. Chime credit cards are not prepaid cards sir. Chime is a bank. I get direct deposit, bank loans and everything on it. I have never at any BW location or any hotel in the world been told that. They were treating me like I was broke because I had Chime and cash app cards for payment even tho I have multiple other bank cards. I didn't make a big deal about it. So long as my $75 goes back right away, which they said it would at check out. You have my card on file and a driver license. That shouldn't change based on the type of card paid. It's a bank buddy. It's not a gift card or prepaid card. Other then that. The rooms alone are mostly clean and seem updated. Nice big TV with HD cable. Fridge temp isn't adjustable. Just one standard temperature, no freezer. Bed sheets did have a few dark stains on them..comfy bed with plenty of pillows tho. Power outlets on the lamps don't work....also there were a few people yelling outside my door at 11PM. It's an older/motor inn type of motel but again, rooms are not that bad. Great location with so many food chains and a Walmart down the road. Honestly if it wasn't for the interaction with the payment then I would of given 3 stars, maybe 4, but you can't judge people and charge them a deposit because you are misinformed on a card type. If that is their policy. That's terrible. Like I said. I have paid with this card at several BWs and never been charged a deposit only because it was considered a "prepaid/gift card".

  I can't give accurate stars as I never did see the inside of the room. As I pulled in, I realized it wasn't going to be safe for a solo female traveller with the doors accessed by the outside and the other customers I witnessed. I checked in, went to another hotel to get a room, and then returned the key cards to the front desk. I didn't even bother for a refund as I was fully aware of their cancelation policy, but I'd rather stay somewhere I feel safe.
