I’ll preface with the good: the staff was exceptionally friendly and took ownership of the establishment. I love when employees say “my name is blank, and I’m here to help if you need me” and I certainly got the impression that everyone who works there cared very deeply about their guests. The hotel has a good location with multiple restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away, offers a fitness center and pool, does not serve breakfast, but does offer free parking for guests. They have guests provide car making and models, so I assume they do enforce parking rules in their lot, which is nice, especially during busy travel seasons. However, there were a number of inconveniences I experienced throughout my stay. While spacious, the room layout was very inconvenient. The desk was incredibly long, and there was not a single outlet anywhere near it. I had to daisychain laptop chargers from the kitchenette to my laptop to keep it charged while using it, which makes traveling to this hotel for business less than ideal. There were also a few other issues with my room, like the towel bar coming off the wall when I grabbed my towel after a shower, and gnats being present in the room throughout my stay. Each day, the hallway had a different smell, ranging from what smelled like seafood to what I can only describe as the scent of excrement. Many of the features are quite dated, with both the in-room alarm clock and gym equipment featuring Docs for iPods and 15+-year-old iPhones. several pieces of equipment in the fitness center were not functional, and not all of them had warnings saying so. The TV was also stuck on the history channel the entire time I was there, and there was no remote to change the channel. This is fine, except for the fact that I tend to work out early in the morning, while Christian infomercials blared from the TV. Additionally, there were no wipes or spray to clean down pieces of equipment after use, just towels. My room also inexplicably had two phones, while only one was operational. There was also rather loud elevator music that played not in the elevators, but outside the elevators in the hallway. I worried that rooms close to the elevators might even be able to hear the music due to its volume. We did experience a tornado warning during my stay, and it appeared that the staff was attentive and were present with us in the lobby. I’m greatly appreciative of the staff, they were exceptionally friendly and catered to every question or request I had throughout my stay. It’s clear that many of the issues are just due to the facility being dated, but for what I paid, I really can’t complain.

THE GOOD - Very quiet and nicely decorated with an attentive staff. The location is convenient with plenty of eating options within walking distance. Great access to Tinker AFB and I-40. THE BAD - No breakfast and no restaurant on site. The convenience store in the lobby is a bit pricey. Coffee was free and so-so. I am an IHG member and did not receive any perks or acknowledgement, either. THE UGLY - Very poor lighting in the room as if some lamps were missing. The room had an ample desk area but no desk lighting. The only light came from a sconce on the wall on one end of the long desk. There was an easy chair in the room which would have been great for reading, except that there was no floor lamp behind it as is customary. BOTTOM LINE - I would most likely not stay there again because of the lack of on-site food options and poor lighting.

First of all, we have started here numerous times, never have I even been treated with nothing but kindness and respect, the staff is 90% the reason we keep coming back. The other 10% is the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. They are always clean, the beds are always comfortable, the A/C and heater always work as expected. The rooms are a good size for our needs. The rooms are also always quiet, and let me tell you, this hotel has the best water pressure!!! This is our favorite place to stay when in Midwest City visiting our daughter. The only draw back is the Sandoval pool, I wish they had a heated indoor pool for winter time. I just want you to know, this hotel has the best staff of any I’ve stayed at, even better than a 4 star.
