    Don’t rent this location. Unprofessional staff! We booked two rooms for two nights and got a notification both rooms were canceled around 11am. I called the hotel immediately and found out the room was already booked and there was nothing they could do. The cancelation was due to the card authorization was declined. We never got a call or a email. So they just cancel a room with zero communication with their guests. This seemed sketchy so I call corporate. I filed a complaints against the GM Katrina since it seemed like she canceled our room for personal reasons. The lady I spoke to time me someone higher than her would be reaching out to me within 48 hours. Within 20 minutes Katrina called me to give me the same bull she gave me before. Told me she canceled the reservation 3 hours prior to me calling and a notification would have went out. I told her I called right after receiving the cancellation email. Her only response was “well that’s unfortunate.” So she sent the cancellation email 3 hours after she canceled my room with no other notification. Why did corporate send the person I filed a complaint about to call me? Why can’t they just make this right? They don’t care about you or any of their guests. “That’s unfortunate” should never be told to any customer ever! Now we are stuck spending twice as much more than 20 miles away because of this hotel’s incompetence. If I could give negative stars I would. Never stay here!!!!!!

    If I could leave negative stars I would. We book a trip a month ago and while we were traveling to the hotel when a cancelation email is recieved. Immediately brother calls the hotel to se whats up and am told that there is was issue with the credit card. Brother says ok use this one. Hotel said the room was already booked by someone else. How does that happen in like 60 seconds???? Something shady is going on here at this location. Unreliable hotel. Don't stay here. Thank good the Hilton came to our rescue! Response to Katrina, Manger of Holiday Inn Sunbury (google review): Again, negative stars: I have a time stamped cancelation email at 11am and we called you immediately after recieving it. You saying that it was "unfortunate" that the email came three hours later was highly upsetting and unprofessional. Obviously, there must be wrong with your system if it says the email was sent at 8am because we didn't receive it. Also, no where on the email does it say why the rooms were canceled. We had to call the hotel to find out why. We were half way to the hotel when the email came through. The costumer service has been horrible and nothing has been done to try and make it right. This is not the way to do business. Also, I saw the google review about the bed bugs in room 105. We may have dogged a bullet here. There is a clear difference between bed bugs and mosquitos. The fact that you think the mosquito excuse makes it any better, you are surely mistaken. Thanks you Hilton for being able to accommodate us on such short notice. I'm sure if we had an issue like this you would be gracious enough to let us fix it before throwing us out.

    I have never been refused service or sales anywhere in my life until today. I am an IHG platinum member, which is supposed to mean something. I tidy my room before I check out, and I always leave a cash tip for housekeeping. I’m a model guest I thought, but not for Sunbury HIE. I booked with points today, only to have the hotel call and tell me the manager Katrina said I am on a do not rent list. I was surprised and offended. Yes, as it turns out, this hotel had issues the last time we booked it. I brought those issues up to the hotel during that stay. The staff failed to address their shortcomings to my satisfaction, which is when I called IHG about the matter. So apparently since I complained to IHG about how their hotel was not to standard, I was blacklisted. What is a guest expected to do? Sunbury doesn’t care what I do as long as I don’t complain! IHG members beware! The corporation has to stand with this decision because franchises are privately owned. Some owners franchisees would rather block you than hold to franchise standards.

    So Katrina the manager can’t count because we checked in with her with 4 kids and 2 adults and now we are banned because they say the fire Marshall won’t allow 6 people but she checked us in that way and then blamed us. Like what can you not count!? Of course we are upset we lost a night that we accidentally ordered!
