  Two different mattresses in our room, doors need to be replaced badly. Asked to have my room clean via text, no response and no service. Staff sat in a car smoking and complaining about other staff and were parked in a Diamond member spot. Ice machine on 3rd floor didn’t work and stains on the carpet.

  BED BUGS!!!!!! BED BUGS!!!!!! BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!! We found live bed bugs crawling on our comforter, and so did people staying in different rooms. DO NOT book or stay here. Our room smelled awful upon arriving and SEVERAL of the rooms are infested with bed bugs. When we told the front desk about this issue, they handled it very poorly and tried moving us to the room next door to the infested one. Overall, nasty hotel and the situation was not handled well by staff. Don’t stay unless you want to pick up bed bugs.

  The property is very outdated and had a noticeable musty odor throughout. The room itself was disappointing - chairs had visible stains on them, and the carpeting was also stained and worn. In addition, the air conditioning system did not work properly, and the room felt very humid and uncomfortable during my stay. I travel weekly for work and am a Hilton stan, so it was very disappointing to experience a Hampton Inn in this state. I expected better upkeep and attention to cleanliness and comfort from a Hilton-branded hotel, especially as a frequent guest. This property is in need of significant updates and improvements before I would consider staying here again. Sandusky does not have any great Hilton options, so it's sad to say that Marriott will be getting my business as I spend the next few months in Sandusky for work.

  I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the Hampton Inn Sandusky. The bathroom was downright disgusting — it clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly, and there were visible grime and odors that made it very uncomfortable to use. The sheets on the bed had stains, which is absolutely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one at this price point. The entire property feels old, outdated, and not well-maintained. Common areas and the room itself were not clean, and the overall atmosphere made the stay unpleasant from start to finish. I expected a much better standard of cleanliness and comfort. I do not recommend this hotel and will not be staying here again.
