Wow! We've been staying at Holiday Inn Express locations throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware for many years. On March 2, 2026, we checked in with our reservations to the Holiday Inn Express at 10111 Market St, North Lima, Ohio. Extremely disappointing is the only words that come to mind. Starting with the parking lot, which resembles a bombed road in Baghdad! We checked in around 4 p.m. and saw a flood of water on the floor. It appears the leak came from the ice machine on the 2nd floor. Eventually a worker cleaned the hallway. However, the rest rooms in the area, which also got flooded with water, weren't touched. After I let the front desk person know about this around 9 p.m. The fix was to put an "out of order" sign on the Men's Room door. When we got to our room after check-in the door was propped open because workers were replacing the door locks and latches on all the doors. I asked a worker to just put the door latch back in so we could change clothes immediately as we need to get to a funeral in New Springfield, OH. When we got back hours later our key wouldn't work because the repairman came after we left and replaced the locks and latches. The room was messy. There was a used dental floss pick laying on the floor. The bathroom floor was dirty. And there was only a tiny bit of toilet paper in the room without a backup replacement roll on the shelf. I and a worker went in to another room that was unoccupied and took their toilet paper. The workmen working on the locks often had to use an angle grinder to grind off pieces of the hardware they were installing. Off course, the debris of metal shavings and flakes were just left on the carpets! Including at the entrance/exit door of the pool-- which was occupied when I discover this. That evening we met with another couple in the lounge area to play cards. In the corner was two coffee machines offering free coffee. But, neither would work. A display message on the screen stated they needed serviced. I asked the lady at the front desk if she would fix the units. She replied, "No." Well, at least we'll have breakfast in the morning. Or so I thought! The place opened at 6:30 and I arrived around 7. Pancake machine doesn't work. Also, no eggs or meat because the oven doesn't work! When we were sitting in the lounge and looked at the windows I must say I have never seen such dirty, messy windows. All this "fun" for about $120/night. We'll NEVER stay at this location again and highly suggest you spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. We took pictures too to prove I'm not over stating this. Someone from the corporate office really needs to check in to this location with a spot/surprise visit. It's simply unbelievable!

I'm not normally a complainer, but my fiancé and I stayed for the weekend because our hot water tank broke. Way over priced for the stay. Room was not the cleanest, smelled of mildew and had stains on the blankets. Also the water in the shower wouldn't get hotter than Luke warm. Which totally defeated the purpose of staying since we didn't have a hot shower at home either. Also the pool was FREEZING cold. However, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. But today.. I was charged for a smoking fee.. I HAVE ASTHMA!!! I DONT EVEN SMOKE!! When I called the front desk guy he said there were cigarettes left in the room.. NOT POSSIBLE and it smelled of cigarettes.. NOT TRUE.. there was NO smoking!! He said he has a sensitive nose and smelled it when he went in there this morning (Wednesday) I checked out Sunday!! He was either smelling the musty mildew smell we smelled or it was from someone staying since we left!! They should have compted me an additional night considering the water temp was awful in the shower and the supposedly heated pool was freezing! Not CHARGE me a smoking fee when there absolutely was NO SMOKING!!!

Nice hotel. Me and my family came here to stay a night for my daughter’s softball tournament. Service was nice when we needed more towels. Breakfast was really good. Pools kinda small but the kids liked it. Five stars.

The room left something to be desired. The bathroom door didn’t latch and the shower water was lukewarm at best. The lady taking care of breakfast did her best to find allergy-friendly options for those who needed them, but there wasn’t much for her to work with. She was super friendly about it, though. For the price, it is what it is.
