I traveled from Canada and had a stopover in New Philadelphia. The check-in process was smooth, though I was expecting it to be a bit more interactive. The room was quite spacious; however, I did notice a few spots on the sofa. I liked the toiletries provided, but the tea bags were not sealed properly. The breakfast experience was quite strange. The whole wheat bread was stale, and when I asked for a fresh one, the breakfast attendant did bring fresh bread but argued about the freshness of the original loaf. She was rude in her response. Additionally, there were very few vegetarian options available. I hope the hotel considers adding more vegetarian choices and encourages staff to be more polite and accommodating toward guests.

Double charged for my room in October, called the front desk the next week and they said they’d reverse it. Never did. Called a week later same thing. Asked to speak to the manager a week later, same thing and still never reversed. Finally went through my bank with multiple receipts etc, still didn’t reverse it. Cheryl was extremely rude the two times I called before our reservation(that I obviously had because she was able to pull up my room). I simply asked if it was possible to get a room close to the friends we traveled with for the wedding and was practically yelled at. She was also the employee who double charged me for my room. When asking about local establishments we could go for lunch the next day we were also ignored. It was a bizarre experience all around. If you stay here be sure to check your statement the next day. Also don’t book for the breakfast buffet. We went down somewhat early and it was trashed.

Very nice property. Our room was very clean except for a wrapper for something I’m not comfortable mention under the edge of the bed. The breakfast was far below typical IHG locations. It was set up nice but the selection was not well refreshed. The egg dish was empty. The sausage and potatoes were low. The potatoes were dry and cold. The sausage was overcooked and shriveled. The coffee was excellent. In spite of the poorly maintained breakfast I would still recommend this facility.
