All I have to say is that whatever issues that I've read on the other reviews have obviously been fixed. I had hot water in my room, lots of pressure, my TV had tons of channels, the staff (especially the manager who was greeting everyone in the lobby most of the time I walked through) were all top-notch. I stay at a lot of hotels, and usually stay at the Courtyard in New Albany, and I can say that this was by-far one of my favorites. Now, the pool water was a little cold, but everything else was perfect. Breakfast was unlike any heat-and-serve hotel breakfast I've ever had, and the guy serving it (Dan I think) was delightful. The housekeepers were responsive and polite, the front desk ladies (and the night guy, James) were always open to chat. Also, they have a TON of options in the little market by the desk!! I highly recommend this hotel.

HOT WATER WAS FANTASTIC!! Was informed there may be minimal hot water, but the plumbers were on site to fix it. They absolutely did! When it was time for the evening shower, it was hot and steamy!! Breakfast was also amazing! That coffee bar is really something!

We stayed as a couple for 5 nights recently. I'll start with the good: One reason we selected this hotel is that it is new and we are extremely frustrated with the quality of the beds in most chain hotels. And the beds here are comfortable; maybe not so in five years. The hot deluxe breakfast is first class. There is a strong exhaust fan in the bathroom - great! And our king suite was roomy and well lit. Beware that the rooms do not come with a bathtub, only a walk-in shower, which was OK with us. The biggest issue I see with this hotel is the absence of the general manager. It showed in the lack of training with the staff. The front desk could not tell me what the linen change policy was and it is not posted. Our shower was not cleaned one day and the clerk didn't know if that was a daily service (it is everywhere else). One day we left at 10:30 AM and removed our "Not Ready" placard, and the housekeeper saw us do it. However our room was not serviced that day. There should be a checklist of rooms to mark complete. When we asked for fresh towels that evening there were none available; we were told that they were all being washed and the front desk would deliver some when they were dry - NOT. When we checked in we requested an upper level floor at the front of the hotel but the clerks did not seem to know how to do that. Our observation over four days was that there was light residency. But it turned out in our favor as I heard a guest complaining to the front desk that there was no hot water on the fourth floor. The clerk told her that they were aware of the problem and were trying to get that fixed. I hope that the management reimbursed that paying customer or reassigned them another room, but I'm not optimistic that happened. We had a window shade fall off while we were simply pulling the chain to close it. And marks on the wall showed that it had happened before. When we went to the front desk to ask for quarters to do laundry they were none in the register on a Friday evening. At $2.50 a load for both wash and dry they should be stocking $10 quarter rolls, and why aren't they set up for credit cards in this digital age? We were charged with an authorization for incidentals at $50/day for a total of $250, which is excessive for the purpose held. And we didn't get it credited until the second business day after we checked out. Most hotels credit this no later than one business day. In my experence all of these things scream negiligence on management's part, specifically the GM. I don't know where he was but he was not on the job at the hotel. I'd recommend staying away from this place until they get their act together.

No hot water for your morning shower! I'm on day 3 of this. Day 1, thought it was a fluke. Day 2, was told maintenance would fix it. Day 3, went to the front desk where another person was waiting to be helped. He informed me that he had been standing there for 5 minutes and that you have to shower at night or have a cold shower. It's a new hotel but doesn't feel like it.

The hotel is great! I'm in town working on a construction site; and the manager was allowing an early breakfast that fit the construction schedule. I was about to send this when I found out Holiday Inn corporate gave the manager heck for offering breakfast earlier than corporate wanted. I hope this doesn't impact their business, but my gut says they may see occupancy drop some if corporate is throwing the construction crew under the bus. The bottom line isn't being hurt by meeting their clientele needs, but it can be hurt if the clientele decide to find a different hotel to stay at that meets their needs better. Corporate should keep their nose out of it and let the manager continue taking care of the people who are booking his hotel. The manager knows what he is doing.
