Terrible service and their website says “not pet friendly” yet we were greeted with 2 massive pit bulls in our hallway jumping on us when we first walked in - and a staff member was walking them?? Also could not get in our hotel room and when we reported it to the front desk, they asked the maintenance guy to check in on a room that was not ours, so we were not helped for 1 hour. We went to the front desk 3 different times during the 1 hour until we finally realized they kept calling for help for the wrong room. Kind of an unreal experience for us booking this place for a wedding block. They also asked us why we booked a handicap room when “it seemed like we didn’t need it” which is for one, not legal to say to us, and two, was the only room available in the hotel block - otherwise we wouldn’t have booked it. They also said “well we can offer you a better room”, and then offered us a room with a smaller bed. Crazy experience to say the least and would never come back.

Great place to stay for 2-3 nights. Great location with plenty of restaurants in the area, a few are within walking distance. The on-site restaurant and bar are very good.

Ive slept on a lot of hotel beds and this is one of the BEST hotel beds ive slept on in a LONG time. It was a king size bed, extra soft. I slept so good. Much needed rest. Will stay here again if i get the chance.

Service and staff were good. Breakfast is top notch. Unfortunately my room had dirty linens and bathroom had a lot of hair from previous occupants.

I had an amazing stay here in Holiday Inn Cleveland with my fiance (now wife).
There were several stuff I really wish could be better.
I contacted the crew and their General Manager, Mr Perge, helped me set up everything including room upgrades. I have been a platinum elite member of IHG for years now and have stayed in many Holiday Inn, both US and Canada locations. The service was outstanding as usual, no issues at all with service. No matter who I met at the front desk, they always gave 100%, steadfast and remarkable service.
One of the customers smoked a vape in the hallway and triggered the fire alarm, forcing everyone to leave their rooms at the moment of notice. Their service to improvise on the spot during the critical situation was top notch, explaining and assisting everyone who came for help. I had to ask them to fix my key card twice because my phone magsafe ruined the keycard integrated system.
Anyway, now is the time to explain why 4 stars, not 5.
First thing first, the bathtub drain was super clogged. Everytime we showered, the water would pool up to our ankles and slowly drained. But with the drain clogged, any residue of soaps floated and left a slippery mess post shower, meaning the next time we showered, the bath tub was super slippery and dangerous for us to walk on. Very inconvenient.
Second, the TV plays a TV channel sound on its own around 2-3 am. I swear to God I thought I was dreaming, but no, both myself and my fiance woke up surprised. It played a tv show but only sound with the monitor itself still off (no visual sign of it being on at all). Just pure sound coming out of the TV. This happened 3 times, once each night. We stayed for 4 nights but we only heard the random noise (people talking on a tv show or something, I could not tell because the TV itself was still off, emitting no picture at all) on first, second, and fourth night. We did not hear anything on the third night. I thought I was crazy but the very moment I woke up, my fiance also woke up and looked at me in my face while giving me the face "you hear this?". And yes! I heard it. To this day, i still could not wrap my head about what it could possibly be. I never really encounter such issue. Oh, hang tight, the third issue kind of follow the second one.
Third, the phone rang several times. This happened twice during our 4-night stay. And every single time I picked it up, it gave me a normal long beep sound of when you pick up a phone line. I looked at my fiance and said "did you hear what I just heard?" And she said, "yea, did you order any room service?", and I said, "nah not at all". We moved on. This happened usually in the morning around 7 or 8 am and I never let it rang for too long just to make sure the person on the other end was still there, but no, the other end was always quiet, no one talked but me on the phone at that very moment.
Lastly, the door. I am very glad that I was given a chance to stay in the King Suite instead of the regular King room, because Mr Perge helped me with the room upgrades. But I also kind of regret the decision of upgrading to King Suite. There was no door dividing the Living Room/Kitchen area and the Bedroom themselves. Meaning, you could immediately see the kitchen and even the main door directly on your bed that has your feet facing the door (bad feng shui). As someone who is interested in Interior Design, the absence of door makes you feel vulnerable towards any energy from the outside of the bedroom. Psychologically and analogically, you could think of it as sleeping without blanket. You feel naked and very vulnerable, not just sleeping in a blanket to feel warm. That's what I felt the entire night, as if someone was constantly watching us from the other side of the room that we cannot close or lock at all. It felt suffocating and giving me a sense of anxiety. They have the door frame and a mark where door existed before but for some reason they removed it. Why? I do not know.
Would I come back? Maybe?
Soon? No.
Solid 4 out of 5.
-1 for all of these craziness happening to us.
