I loved my stay at the Holiday Inn Express. It was clean, staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, and it is the perfect spot in town to be able to explore all Lancaster has to offer.

BEDBUG INFESTATION I was in town because my grandmother was in comfort care and near the end of her life. We checked into our room around 9:00 PM, unpacked, and within minutes saw a bug crawling across the nightstand. When I picked it up with toilet paper, I realized it was a bedbug, and if you know anything about bedbugs, seeing one out in the open usually means a larger infestation. We immediately called the front desk. The agent came up, put tape over the bedbug, and offered to move us to another room. Given the situation, we did not feel comfortable staying in the hotel at all. She told us to come to the front desk while she called her manager. When we got downstairs, she said the manager could move us to a room at the Baymont next door. That was unacceptable, it's a lower-tier property with very poor reviews. Over the phone, the GM responded with: “Well if that is not acceptable for you, then you both can just move on.” Incredibly unprofessional and uncaring, especially considering the circumstances. I’m not sure what was worse, the bedbugs or the GM’s attitude. This will definitely be reported to IHG corporate. DO NOT STAY HERE unless you want to risk dealing with bedbugs and terrible customer service.

Ok. I work in Lancaster but travel from PA. I have an electric cart. And there are very few options for hotels with electric vehicle chargers. But let me say, this is the best of all of them! There are enough chargers that I don't get ICE'd out. And they protect them with a "Charging Only" sign. And the rooms are spotless and very well decorated. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is sumptuous. And that woman who works at breakfast is a delight. Very friendly. All in all, this was a great find. Even if you don't need the electric chargers, this is the best spot to stay in between Logan and Columbus! Oh, and did I mention, it's dog friendly so I can travel with my dog?!
