Booked a room for cheer competition for the weekend Thursday-Sunday. On Friday the power went out no big deal it was extra windy so I get it. I go explore shop around etc at 4pm come back at 9pm still no power, desk worker(female) kept saying 8pm was the ETA from the power company and that’s all she could give details wise. Back up generator on at this point only THEIR CREDIT CARD MACHINE (as they were still checking in guest) worked and the elevator. So I go to bed thinking it would be on when i got up NOO still off at this time i’m irritated and have a comp to get ready for I go downstairs it’s pitch black and at this point the elevator is no longer working. I asked if they had a sister company with rooms and they say no then i ask what type of accommodations do they have when this happens the desk clerk (male) just started at me and didn’t say a word. I say if I find a new hotel can you refund my money for the nights i didn’t use he says “i’ll have to ask the manager” in which i find out from a worker of the hotel that the manager doesn’t even come in on the weekends. At this point myself and others are fuming and the HOTEL STAFF DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! WE HAD NO HOT WATER OR POWER FOR 24HRS WITH NO ANSWERS TO ANY QUESTIONS AND NO ACCOMMODATIONS. would never recommend and will never be back.

Had the misfortune of booking this hotel the nights of 3-13-2026 and 3-14-2026. There was a Columbus wide power outage due to very high winds on the 13th. When we arrived at the hotel we were told power was due to be back on around 8pm. Fast forward to next morning, still no power. We had an all day event to attend and once returning to the hotel around 3pm there was still no power, so we checked out to go to a hotel with power. All of us that booked the 13th and 14th were ONLY refunded the 14th. WHY would we pay FULL price for sitting in the dark with no heat, no hot water, no way to charge electronic devices, etc. This hotel should 100% refund at LEAST half for what happened that the guests have no control over. Without that, i will never stay in a holiday inn again. Nor ever recommend.

"Stay here at your own risk"
$500 and a terrible experience. My son got bedbug bites all over him. They look absolutely terrible. A total of 10 cars had broken windows and their items stolen. Instead of installing cameras or hiring a security guard they just put up a sign that says "park at your own risk".

This hotel was a serious disappointment for a Holiday Inn Express. Clearly it was purchased from another chain and is being "renovated". In my opinion, hotels should be required to disclose this upon booking. I was in town for a large event and hotels were at a premium for sure. Uncomfortable beds, noisy hallways and the shower will spray you when you turn it on from the outside (controls are on the inside wall and not on the wall where the shower door opens). Breakfast was lacking the usual IHG stuff in the refrigerator (no yogurt, hard boiled eggs, etc). Lastly, there was no hotel shuttle. Staff called a Lyft for me from the airport, which took 3 tries for someone to show up. On the return to the airport, I was told shuttle started at 4:30 AM on demand. I came to the lobby at 4:17 AM and staff waited until 4:30 AM to tell me the shuttle wasn't working and they would call a Lyft, which was 12 minutes out, so I got a late start to the airport. Do better, IHG.

Experience here wasn’t great. Wasn’t good. It was fair at best. AC In the common areas of the hotel was down for the entire weekend, with the temperature INSIDE hitting 88 degrees, it was horrible. Brought to staff multiple times by guests but unfortunately the temperature remained high during our entire stay.
We had a group wanting to use the common area to play a board game. Due to the temperature being so high, we asked if we could use one of the small meeting rooms (where the AC was working) and were told we would have to pay to use the room due to them being on reservation only (all rooms were open and it was 9:30 at night) so that was a little upsetting. Our group ended up sitting in the lobby area to play our game, but ended up leaving pretty quickly due to the heat.
Keeping guests updated on what is going on in the background is important to positive customer service. I’m not expecting the front desk to know how to fix the AC, but when asking for updates, being told “we’re working on it but we don’t know” shouldn’t be an acceptable answer.
Arriving on Friday and departing on Sunday, there was also a table in the breakfast area that had not been touched during the entire weekend. Food scraps, cups, and what looked like math homework sat in the same spot all weekend.
Breakfast was also disappointing. The employee running breakfast did a good job, however, the food itself was mid. Suggest just running to somewhere local instead of wasting your time with dry eggs, dry sausage, and orange juice that tastes more like water.
Finally - the rooms….dark and dreary. They definitely need some updates. Creaky shower, old bed frame, and lighting that is struggling to do its job. The AC at least works in them, so that’s a positive.
