Our stay was not what we expected. We arrived around 7:30, checked in and brought our things to the room! When we got in the room there was a foul odor, so I turned on the fan on the ac thinking maybe it hadn't been rented in a while and needed to air out. The a/c smelled of cigarette smoke, but we were hungry so we left it running and we headed to our dinner date. We had been driving for little over an hour, directly after finishing our work week and were pretty hungry, and it was almost 8pm. At first glance everything looked decent prior to going to eat, dated and a little worn from wear, but decent. Its been a long year, we wanted to spend some time together and enjoy the Jacuzzi, so I didn't do a thorough inspection when we arrived back to the room. I put our leftovers into the fridge and realized that the smell from earlier was the fridge! It was terrible, think rotting garbage or something dead. The Jacuzzi was okay, the water was hot which was nice, but the jets didn't provide consistent pressure. We sat and soaked for about an hr and decided to get out and shower off and settle in for a movie. While gathering things for the shower I noticed the room was quite filthy ( I took pictures for reference.) I then felt it extremely necessary to shower off and went to get in. The pressure in the shower wasn't much more than a trinkle on any setting and the mat in the bottom of the tub offers no traction, but is actually slicker than the tub itself. I slipped getting out and fell, cracking my head on the wall on my way down before faceplanting the floor. When I got up, got my bearings and got dressed I came back out to put our towels over the edge of the Jacuzzi, there was a rose petal in the bottom of the tub. It must've been in the jets prior to us getting in because we only brought clothes, toiletries and snacks! Later while looking around at the rest of the room there was the same type of single rose petal under the edge of the bed, I'm assuming from another couple-gross.
It was pretty late by that time (1:30-1:45) and as I stated we live over an hr away, so we decided to just call it a night and lay down to get some sleep. I knew from calling in to get this room booked it was the only jacuzzi tub room available within your chain and the bed seemed clean enough so we decided not to call the desk and instead report it at check out. We had worked all day, were tired and my head was pounding, so we went to sleep! When we woke up the next day, we gathered our things and decided no on breakfast. If the rooms are that filthy, I'm sure the breakfast equipment/kitchen is too! When we got to the front desk the staff person took our card and moved forward to the next person, who was upset as well, and there was a language barrier, so getting a word in was difficult!
This room is no where near worth $240 a night. It needs A LOT of cleaning and updates before you can charge that much.
