This place just kind of stinks. If you just want a place to sleep it’s just fine but the staff here has essentially zero customer service capabilities and does not care at all. The bar & grill is only open when they can get someone to show up to this place and work. The immediate area around here has very little to do or walk to so I would avoid this place unless you are truly desperate.

If you appreciate a hotel with unique charm, then this is the ideal place for you to stay. Be sure to visit Al Capone's indoor swimming pool. Enjoy a cozy stay, helpful staff, and a convenient shuttle service to destinations within a 3-mile radius.

I'm giving location a 5 because once the road construction is completed, it will be better. A 15-20 minute walk to most of the restaurants at university circle. I even walked to the Cleveland Clinic for work before the temp dropped or was raining. I love the historical building.

I typically really like the Hilton properties. This is an absolute exception. Even though the check-in person was standing right there, it took a few minutes for her to acknowledge me. Then acted like she was doing me a favor by helping me. Checked into the room, which is quite nice, actually. Spacious, clean, comfortable....BUT NO REFRIDGERATOR! What hotel doesn't have a fridge in the room these days? The website says the bar/restaurant opens at 4:00. Didn't open until 6:00-ish. I go back down at 6:30 and sat at the bar and waiting for 10 minutes. No one appeared. I walked around. No one at the front desk...with people waiting. Some random guy said that there was only one person running the bar and the kitchen. She would take an order then disappear for 10-15 mintues to cook the food. Really? Do better. The location is terrible. There are no restaurants or bars with-in walking distance. This would be a one star review, but the room was actually very nice. There are other options in Cleveland, stay there instead.

Came for a wedding, building is beautiful. Room was up to date and spacious while still maintaining the charm of the place. Room was clean-ish, floor could have been swept but overall fine. AC felt like it wasn't working and now that I'm seeing many prior reviews about this that must be a persistent problem. Based solely on the staff I most likely would not be back, unfortunately the majority of everyone I spoke with was unfriendly. Even just checking in felt like I was an inconvenience. Hospitality services should be hospitable. If they can address that issue I think this could be a lovely stay!
