I have been coming here for 10 years. The staff has always been great and the food is good. I have slowly started going to other hotels because to be honest this place is starting to get nasty. The carpet throughout the facility is stained and looks filthy. It’s very dated with old furniture and TV sets. The first room they gave me room 201 stunk so bad I requested another room. They redid the bathrooms on the 6th floor but didn’t put anything to hang your towels to dry or place to put you soap inside the shower. This place could be so much better. Personally I think it’s over priced for what it is.

The rooms are decent. There was hair along the bathroom walls and one of the beds we had a broken box springs so we rolled to the middle. The lobby was pretty with a fountain and there was a restaurant attached to the hotel. Overall a nice place.

Will never stay here again. The hotel was freezing. All quests were complaining the entire weekend and asked the front desk to be told they are not turning on the heat. Black mold was in the Ac/Heat room units and also in the bathroom vent. Bathtub was filthy. Furniture needs upgraded. Tiny dated TV. Everyone we have talked with said the same thing. I’d suggest steer clear of Holiday Inn hotel chain.

The sign says "Holiday Inn & Suites," but my receipt should read "Admission to an Architectural Labyrinth." I'm not entirely sure I stayed at a hotel; I think I checked into a decommissioned CIA black site that now serves lukewarm coffee.
Let's start with the atmosphere. When I walked in, I didn't think "Cincinnati"; I thought of the water feature scene from Nakatomi Plaza from Die Hard and a faint feeling that Hans Gruber might pop out of an air duct to demand my traveler's checks.
The place has a certain *vintage* charm, the kind that reminds you of everything good and old about the 1990s, mainly that things just weren't updated.
The elevator ride felt less like a lift to my room and more like a descent into a forgotten vault. I half-expected Reginald VelJohnson to pop up and offer me a Twinkie after a particularly tense encounter with the ice machine.
The true star of the show is the floor plan. Maze is an insult to proper labyrinths. This hotel is a choose-your-own-adventure novel written by M.C. Escher.
Getting from the lobby to my room was a multi-stage quest that required a map, a compass, and a sheer refusal to give up.
I swear I saw the same family carrying the same luggage and looking equally bewildered four times on my journey to my room. At one point, I opened a door expecting the stairwell and ended up in a meeting room where a seminar was being held. I just slowly backed out, wondering if these people were lost from an Avon group.
In short, if you are looking for a hotel with a clean room, a friendly staff, amazing water pressure, and an unparalleled ability to simulate a hostage negotiation scenario thanks to the confusion of its layout, this is your place. Just remember to tie a string to the front desk before attempting to find your room.
