Went on a vacation from February 27 and checked out March 2nd 2026 and booked an ADA room for me and my mom (room 218 we got). Here is what my experience was like in an ADA room (also traveling with a cat): first off the *room* itself was a bit to small. My mom and I had trouble getting around the room bc she needs a walker and we kept getting in each other way. The walk in shower sucked the first morning (Saturday) bc it felt like everyone got up at the same to take a shower. Also the shower wand was confusing. The knob that you *pull up* was on top of the main shower head. Which took me forever to figure out how to use. Then my mom couldn't reach the shower wand knob because not only is she short but also can't reach stuff from how disabled she is. On Sunday and Monday showers were a lot better, aka hotter water.
The beds: my mom has difficulty not only getting into bed but she kept slipping because of the carpet. She has difficulty on those types of carpets they have. All 3 nights I have to not only help my mom get into bed but also move her over. Which normally at home I don't have to do.
Breakfast Saturday morning: oatmeal (looked water down, didn't try it). Scrambled eggs (idk if they were powdered eggs or one of those pre scrambled eggs but they looked watery as well). Tried them, weren't bad, and ate them with a little salt. They also have 1 waffle maker. Didn't try it this day because there were like 5 to 10 children plus adults.
Sunday: they had oatmeal again but didn't check how liquidy it was. Egg omelette with peppers and maybe onions, really good. Chicken sausage, I didn't think I would like it but it was not bad. Waffle maker again but I didn't feel like making a waffle that day.
Monday: oatmeal which I didn't look at again. Cheese omelette: was really good. They had bacon. Which is some of the weirdest bacon I have ever had. It was super thin falling apart and wasn't crispy and it looked crispy. Had a waffle that day. I can say it was one of the better waffles I have had. Even beating some waffle House.
Everyday they had orange juice, a mix juice forget what it was called, and one other type of drink. They had light blind coffee, decade, variety of tea, hot chocolate powder, and hot water. Also beagle, toast, and blueberries scones; which are all amazing especially the blueberry scones. They also had muffins and hard boiled eggs which I didn't try.
My mom ate breakfast on Saturday. She didn't like it so much on Saturday she skipped breakfast on Sunday. I gave her a bite of my cheese omelette on Monday and she thought it wasn't bad and got her self one.
Now the most important thing you might be asking: how did you and your mom sleep?
My mom: besides the first night, she slept very well. Once I got her into bed and she got comfortable. She was good.
I slept horribly. I mean horribly. This is why it only got a 4 out of 5 stars for me. I couldn't get comfortable for the life of me. I think in total from my 3 nights I slept maybe 12-16 hours max. The beds where uncomfortable, pillows where meh, and I couldn't even sit up in bed comfortably to watch tv which I need to do sometimes for acid reflux. Also my skin hated the detergent they use for cleaning the bed sheets. My skin was itchy really badly
Side notes: pet friendly hotel, yes. My cat loved looking out the second story window and watching the birds, humans, or whatever.
I'm going to add something here as well for whoever reads this far. My trip started out as a 2 out of 5 and ended up being a 4 bc of the cleaning staff. Do to me traveling with my mom, I asked if I could leave *disposable* cat litter trays behind and they said yes. Which was amazing bc I'm the only one capable of taking anything out of the car between me and my mom. So being able to leave the disposable cat litter trays behind in the room means the world to me.
