I have never been so insulted in all my life. That might be a bit exaggerated but let me tell the story. I had a 12 day reservation, working on Long Island for several months now. Reservation was accepted and paid for through a company account and had confirmation. After a long day at work outdoors i arrived there around 5pm tired and ready to relax only to find out they don't take people from my company. First, who I work for is a big company, 5000 employees over several divisions. I am mid fifties guy, clean cut who drives a Lexus and I am told, in front of other people that they don't want me in their hotel having never been there before. I tell them, i know of at least 2 other people from my company whom are there. She calls the manager, "Joey" and he tells me there are not others there (turns out 3 other people there 2 with company vehicles emblazoned with our company name) And then tells me that's the policy, reservation cancelled.
First, the nerve. Secondly, try finding a hotel on Long Island on short notice. Took 2 hours and then 45 minutes of driving to get myself into a room. You listening Best Western Corp? This review is going on every site I have an acct on.

I found that the carpets are smelly and need to be replaced with wood flooring. The hotel needs to switch to scent-free cleaning products. It did not meet my expectations. I did eat the English muffin and egg sandwich for breakfast and it was okay. Free café latte (régular and decaf) was very nice. Parking was included. Staff were good. My only issue is the funky smell of the room.

Very clean. Delicious breakfast. Nice and quiet. Friendly staff. Joe the manager went above and beyond to make sure everything was right for our stay. Will be returning soon. Wonderful hospitality!!!!

Took 30minutes for someone to even show up at the desk to check in. The pictures online are NOT at all what it looks like at this place they are from about 20yrs ago. Smelled disgusting in the lobby, lots of rat traps and air fresheners strewn throughout the mote?!l. Access to your room is from outside so this is a motel you park outside your room no interior walkway to rooms. Saw a lot of suspicious activity going on in two rooms wells in to the night with many people in and out.
The room itself was absolutely disgusting stains on the bed and chair, the room smelled like someone had chain smoked for a week in the room with a wet dog and then placed one of those dollar store floral gel air fresheners in the room for a minute before renting it out. Water damage and bubbling paint from mold behind the pain in the bathroom. It was absolutely disgusting. One of those rooms that you have to sleep over the covers and not take off your shoes in. Cannot believe they charge people to stay at this place absolutely disgusting.
