Booked a 2 night stay through Expedia to attend a funeral. Checked out and was told zero balance-no additional charges. My credit card statement said otherwise. I was charged $300 more than the booked Expedia rate. Called hotel and was assured the credit would be issued and statement would be emailed. Three attempts and no refund and no statement via email.

I drove all the way from Baltimore on 12/4. When I arrived at midnight I was told there were no rooms due to construction even though I booked my room days prior. I was left stranded searching for another hotel at 1am luckily the gentleman at the Courtyard Marriott looked out for me that night. Might I add the Hilton at Westbury smelled like weed from the parking lot all the way to the front desk. The employee at the counter was high as a kite and not in dress code. Very disappointed Hilton Gardens. Now I am over here fighting to get my money back in a hotel I didn’t stay in bc I booked through Expedia!!!!

The 3 stars we give are for the guys at the front desk for doing their best with the circumstances he was given. Renovations are going on. Great, the hotel rooms REALLY need it but not at 8am banging on walls in the room next door after the room on the other side of us had a room party with loud music and lots of people until 2am. I’ve been to my fair share of hotel parties when I was in my late terns - early 20s but someone (security) should be present to monitor halls and stopped it. If you’re going to renovate then one would think to close off half of the rooms on one side of the hotel and reserve the other side for guests. Or work on separate floors. The place stinks. Carpets are filthy, visible trash everywhere like it hadn’t been vacuumed all week, dust capped up on the base boards. and very worn out. Room furniture was very outdated, stained, and worn out. The same dirt and trash was on the floors when we left the next morning to find a new hotel The poor guy at the front desk had no clue which rooms were ready due to the lack of an updated inventory list by management causing the hotel to become extremely overbooked and having to turn people away. He had one king bed available, so he thought, but after sending a maintenance guy to check the room he came back and said the room was dirty. I heard the desk guy murmur saying “why do we have housekeeping if they don’t clean?” We arrived at 10pm and only half of the rooms are available so from noon to 10pm there wasn’t enough time to clean the rooms I guess. There’s a $50 incidental charge that will be returned upon check out that they do not mention so expect that also. You’re a Hilton Hotel. You’re expected to be better than this.
